Auzentech X-Fi Prelude 7.1 and ASUS Xonar D2

 by WhO_KnOwS on 09/11/2007

CPU's and graphics cards are always prime candidates for discussion when building an enthusiast system. Rarely does anyone give soundcards a thought, even though aural pleasure should be as much a requirement as the ultimate eye candy. In the last few years things have been pretty stale with Creative having a clear lead due to their Soundblaster Live! and Audigy cards. Auzentech Auzen X-MERIDIAN 7.1 Soundcard

Up until recently Behringer have been focusing manufacturing Live and Studio sound equipment. However, they have started to move towards the computer music section of the market. This is where the subject of this review comes in.

Creative Soundblaster Live 24bit USB

 by Veridian3 on 05/03/2005

If you’ve been using PC's for any length of time then you’ll more than likely have used a creative soundcard at some point. You’ll also more than likely have been incredibly happy with its performance, I know I’ve never had any major issues with the creative products I’ve purchased. More and more recently external soundcards have become available on the market making a sound card upgrade easy, even for a novice or allowing you to expand your laptop listening experience…its one of these cards that we have in for review today. The Creative Soundblaster Live 24bit USB…and of course if you have a 5.1 surround sound capable card you need speakers worthy of the experience so we have paired it up with a set of Creative T5900 5.1 speakers.
