~33 hours ago I ordered one book and 4 games from them. One of the games is the pre order for fallout 3. The book and 2 of the 3 games already arrived! Very impressed considering that I am in the far end of the world (transportation wise), or as it is known around there, Aberystwyth.

i've ordered from amazon.ca ... which comes from the easter side of the country... i beleive it's only about 1500km to go. and it's still taken nearly 2 weeks on average if everything is in stock.

Interesting, you see when I was back in Greece and I ordered anything from amazon.co.uk they would send the things from the french site, at least the packaging said amacon.fr or something. Anyway, if say I ordered something on Tuesday, I would have it in Greece by Thursday...all the time it always took two working days. Which, come to think about it, it is even more impressive than the 33 hours, even to Aber.
When I ordered something from Play.com it would take slightly longer, another couple of days. Although once it did take 2.5 months. But, I had already received a replacement from play.com so eh, yeah.


Mind you in all three cases I used regular mail, not any courier (dhl, ups etc)
Bare in mind that one of the games that was in stock, hasn't arrived yet, but I can live with that. I have Space Siege and Jericho to play

I don't know how things run in Canada, but two weeks sound too much. Perhaps someone doesn't like you at amazon or the post office ? :-p

no 2 weeks is normal here....

actually it's average as it can be as much as 2 months occasionally.....

this being Canada Post/Purlator .... fedex/UPS is not available here.... reguardless of what is said, they will not come here at all.

There blurays and HD DVD's are way cheaper though. When our dollar was the same you could save a good $50-$70 on 7-10 movies.

amazon.com was going to charge me nearly 300 bucks.... the canadian site was cheaper at only 240ish
