Western Digital RMA

Just RMA'd my HD from Western Digital.

Extremely easy, it took me all of 10 mins online to request the RMA, three days later my replacement is here, and now I have to send the broken one back. Given this experience, I'll be looking at WD for my next drive purchase.

advance replacement, other wise I've herd many times in feedback reviews on sites that it takes good 30 days to get back your RMA.

im with viking, dont know about normal rma but their advance setup is quick & easy. only had to use it 2x in the last ten years, but given the circumstances that usually involve a hd failure it is good to have a system like that available to you.

Keep an eye on the RMA status though. I sent my faulty drive back after an advance replacement and it took three weeks and four e-mails to get them to flag the drive as received (so as to not charge me for the advance one).

Good point, I'll keep an eye on that. I'm sending it out today.

You pay to post your drive back, they pay postage for the replacement.
