Newegg rocks..

I had ordered Ram from them for my laptop over a week ago, it worked great for a few days then just crapped out. I had called them, sent it in to RMA it, all was great, like normal.

I get a special email and call today telling me since I've been such a loyal, and understanding customer, they are sending me a free gift. I said "sweet". Anyways, out of curiosity I asked what it was, and they said "were doubling your order free of charge". Well I almost dropped the phone.

I can not believe this! This stuff ever happen to you guys?

They don't even ship to Canada, it's not an option, regardless of cost.

Yes - they *are* great.

I built this machine on all parts bought from them. My only - I wouldn't even call it a complaint - issue - is that half the parts shipped out of 2 different warehouses and arrived 2 days apart... it wasn't clear I would receive on 2 different days although shipped the same day as if it were all sent at one time from one location... .. but heh - so what. They still definitely rock. Best prices all around and stories like this about the CS...

No and what exact $ value determines loyal? I have spent well over 15 grand with them and have never gotten any special gifts So they doubled the amount of RAM they are sending you as in 2GB or 4GB kit?

I basically buy all my major electronics there.

I may have gotten lucky because it all started with an email from one of their employess asking if I'd switch my 1 day shipping from Fedex to USPS, and I said sure then sweet talked em saying how I loved how a private email (name@newegg.com) talked to me so late at night, and how good he was etc.

Sucking up works.

I wonder what they have against Fedex, Fedex seems to be people's top pick...

i don't like FedEx. NewEgg's main warehouse is a 30min. drive from me, and shipping FedEx ground still takes 4 to 5 business days to get to me, while UPS ground i get next day...provided the package is shipped from the main warehouse.

anyways.....i've never had that happen to me. In fact, my last NewEgg order was a bit of an issue. It started with UPS, and having worked for UPS before, so i know it happens every once in a while. Anyways, the issue was taken care of by UPS quickly, but NewEgg just lacked in communication between their CS team.

Basically, i needed my whole NewEgg order re-shipped, and they told me to send back out what i already had received from them. but their lack of communication ended up taking much longer to have my whole order re-shipped in two different packages, whereas clear communication would have had my whole order shipped back to me in one box instead of two.

Newegg has always treated me well. I've spent thousands there and have had my share of DOA and damaged items and they've always fixed the problems quickly. Their customer service is great, but I've never gotten a free gift or discount.

The first Sceptre 20" Gamer monitor I ordered from them back in March came with a fairly large defect in the screen - about 10-12 pixels worth. I called them, and not only did they arrange for the RMA, but credited my card $25.00 for the return shipping which they did not have to do - reduced the price of a decent, already very inexpensive (189.00 at the time - with rebate, which I did receive in June) even more...

Their communications via email have IMO been the best - I use them at work too.
