Scan = useless.

Ordered £1300 worth of stuff from SCAN computers UK who authorised payment via finance on the 9th of February.

All of the components I ordered were in stock at time of payment [whole heap of them used to more or less build a complete PC].

I had to wait until today initially for delivery but selected on the website for them to deliver tomorrow [14th] as I was busy all day today, in addition to this I placed a new order with them as another site I was ordering from did not have the case I wanted, so I now have two orders with them, one arriving tomorrow and one arriving the day after.

So, after 8pm tonight I get an e-mail telling me that the RAM I have already paid for and was in stock is not in stock, expected time from manufacturer to store is ~16th of feb and then my main order will be sent out.

I am furious to say the least.

I am ringing tomorrow morning first thing and asking that both orders are combined into one, P+P of the second order is refunded and the RAM which I have paid for already [which they have sold til 0 stock in the mean time] is refunded to me so I can order an alternative from another store and that this new order will be with me by friday or I want the whole lot refunded.

Thoughts?

If they are happy to sell already purchased stock on the fly then using the same logic they can be selling all the other components the cunts have already taken payment for. Would just like some other viewpoints on what I should push here as I have not been as angry as this for a very long time, and whoever picks up the phone tomorrow is going to receive the most pure, volatile and condensed rage I can conjure.

Yup - I hate them too

Unless I can wait weeks for what I ordered, I order from elsewhere.

Have to admit - I did order 4 hdds from them the other week - but each hdd was £10 cheaper than ocuk :o and they only took 3 days to dispatch them (lol! what a joke!)

Oh - and they will promise you to get the other stuff to you before the weekend - but I'll bet it won't show.... if you want it by the weekend - cancel and order elsewhere.

They got an earful this morning and said I would ahve everything here by Friday and the RAM will come just as soon as it can... Yawn.

I said that it is really bad business practice to be selling stuff that I have made claim to during the time I have to wait for a despatch. The excuse was that I had paid on finance so I had to wait until the money was confirmed as good for them from v12 finance and when it was the RAM was out of stock - I then got pretty pissed off because V12 contacted me on the 9th telling me SCAN knew that the money was good so I then said

"Ok that is bad enough but understandable but if you got confirmation on the 9th then why wasn't I rang or text or e-mailed that my order would not be completed becase of the RAM issue on the 9th, 10th, 11th, 12, or during acceptable hours on the 13th?"

There was no answer for that, the girl on the end of the phone made it sound like I was being an uptight bastard about spending £1500 and expecting delivery on the day because it didn't "work" like that. Obviously SCAN doesn't work like that. If that package is not here by Saturday I am cancelling the finance to V12 on the 14 day cooling off, taking their £25 finance charge and letting SCAN pick up the pieces, I will then also sue them through "money claim" for the finance cost and 2 days of my times wasted for £50 each for being the incompetent pricks they are.

Lord have mercy on their soul if anything turns up broken or not perfect.
