ModChipMan.com

over a friends house a group of us got together to softmod our xboxes. everything went well that is until i got an error code. later i learned xbox-linux is useless without the tsop flash. so i ordered a chip from mod chip man when the said product arrived it was visible damaged. missing a large chunk out of the top of the chip. Many ignored emails later and blatent disregard for that default 14-day return policy i was stuck with a pinheader soldered to my xbox and a broken chip.

Necrosis will become famous soon enough
System Specs

Highly unlikely chips can be damaged like that in shipping. Unless it was bounced off a hard surface (w/o packaging) or some one put a nice spike of voltage on it. I think it came from them like that.

i was extremely agitated and dissapointed in modchipman.com as the xbox is a main source of my entertainment .i never intened to get ripped off then again no one ever does. looking back on this a voltage spike seems logical as the damaged section of the card was in the corner where the pin socket attached to the card. modchipman asked to to take pics which i did but the only camera i have acess to is a resonalbly nice digital kodak which is great for everyday photo's but not super zoomed in on a 2x2 card. i sent the photos which blurrily displayed the solid red executer 2 with an exposed gray corner. his reply not good enough sorry i cant help you. so then i tried to replace the trace which was missing and finally gave up ModChipMan : "well its time to upgrade the new X3's are in stock" yanking out old chip from voltage modified xbox "This chip is good enough for our 'valued customers' satifaction garenteed" laughing with evil intent. word of advice note ADVICE is OPINION go with Divineo they've got stores world wide. oh and ModChipMan if you read this why would i have lied to you? Did you get alot of complaints on an already bad week? whatever happened to the customer always comes first? I also reported this to the better buisiness bureau. sorry about the heat

Modchipman.com has had my xbox 360 system since Feb. 2007 and now i am taking them to court. Buyer beware from this rip-off company.

Wow scary stuff.
I guess I was a lucky one, bought a modchip from them, shipping was quick.
I did however perform the installation myself.
Seems awful that this site is listed on Team Executers site as a retailer if they do this kind of stuff.
