How to make dynamic address bar in HTA browser

I've been making a little HTA internet browser just for fun, and I was wondering how I could get the address bar to update every time I click a link. So when I hit the back button it will actually go back to the last page, instead of the last page that I typed. It can be in pretty much any type of script language, html, jscript etc.

Forgot to add, HTA is HTML Application but it does work like a regular application, it just doesn't need to start the internet browser to work.
edit:well crap I didn't mean to make another post.

Since it doesn't really seem like anyone knows, does anyone know where I might be able to find the answer?
