How to read driver dat files

How to read dat files, in which are serialized ActiveX resources and settings.

These files looks like Visual Basic ActiveX documents and have extension VBD.

When I have both

control.dll and

control.vbd

files in same folder VB6 should open them?

Please advice how to do this exactly. I tried several articles from Microsoft

Knowlede base, but without success.

Any idea?

Thank You in advance
