lately i've been trying to install SoftICE and DriverStudio on a Virtual Machine created on Microsoft Virtual PC Console SP1 and i just can't seem to do it... the virtual PC has Win Xp Pro SP2 installed on it with the latest updates till 2007...

it seems that there is some sort of a video display driver problem... the default card that the virtual machine installs is S3 Trio 32/64, and the video driver in SoftICE detects it correctly, but a soon as i type "net start ntice" in cmd, the Virtual Machie displays "An unrecoverable processor error has been encountered. The virtual machine will restart now." error message box.

i tried to fix it by following some advices found on forums all over the net... but the advice these people were reffering to were to regular rigs, not virtual machines...

if anybody could shed some light on the subject, i would be very gratefull...

the version of the program is Compuware DriverStudio 3.2
