Quick Question

Hi guys/girls,

I'm fairly new to the programming world but I am very eager to learn. I have familiarized myself with AutoIT but I would really like to move onto something different and more of a programming language. What would be the best thing for me to start of with.

I'm 16 atm so I have some time to learn before/if I go to university. I have had a little look at Python, but I would rather get some opinions before I go into something too deep and find out that I should have gone with xxxxx.

Sorry if this is the wrong section to ask this, but it seemed most relevant to the topic.

Thanks,
Nathan

Matth will become famous soon enough
System Specs

Depends what you want to program.

C++ would be good for serious programming, and there is a freebie or two
Express - Visual C++ - Easy to Use
Bloodshed Software - Providing Free Software to the internet community

There is a lot of C++ and other C derivatives programming in both Windows and Linux.

Python crops up in many places too, often in scripting and "glue" applications, where it binds other modules together.

Cyberlink PowerCinema makes significant use of Python (compiled).

Hi friend

If you wanna be a good programmer than you have to know the C, C++ programming languages.

These two languages are the basic languages. If you know all the basics of these languages then you can easily go for learning other programming languages.
