I like the idea, I will send you a track TravelRec. Would it be a problem if it is already mastered?

I guess it should be audio-cd, not mp3/data... but with data section/track with the driver binary and some kx-related stuff (just for promotion)

E.
Yes Eugene -

another great idea too, no problem to make a "extra"-CD that contains the music and some computer data. And yes, it should be an audio CD with real audio-tracks 44.1 on best possible quality (use a special plug to resample the kX48wav to 44.1). Finally some nice features like CD-Text wil be added.
Thank you for your support !

Hehe, cool way - we should bring up a data headquarter in england to collect all the waves from the net . And before I forget, 48kHz waves are the best choice for quality.

No, Tiger - not a problem - if it sounds good, no need to change anything. I think about some words about each song and how it was created and so on. I hope there is enough space in the booklet to do this.

travelrec - my idea for the few words etc is this

have the CD extra style thing going on, so save maybe 10mb on the CD for that

have a html page popup with credits on each song, with details like sequencer used, style of music, and some words from the artist - we can fit much more on then
That's something i've done a few times when making CD's with audio aswell

Yeah, okay trev, seen that. For now I have nothing and if lot of songs are coming in, we can decide together, what we want to do. I think we should do one step after the other . But it´s okay to talk about. If there are enough good songs , I put them on the CD and we will finish the first sampler and stop the song collecting for a while, to see if there will be a corresponding resonance / feedback. If all is okay, then we can go on to make a 2nd sampler.

@dj - okay, we can do so, do you want to create the html stuff too? I think also about a special part on electricstart that will have some information about the whole thing.

Thank you all for the great input in these early times .

the tracklisting needs to be completed before i can finish the cover, and for the data part i need a few words from artists submitting their work, maybe a small 400x400 cover art image aswell

when i finalize the design i'll let everyone know exactly what i need

Yes, I will do - for now we have to start up, I really look forward what kind of music will come. After the end of the next week I start to do my musical part and then I make an update on electricstart with some information about the sampler. Any news are posted here.
CU!

No - not a single one, tried to do some stuff for myself, but no time to finish yet. I´ll wait for your track - please give me a message if you´ve sent it away, so I can receive it from the p.o. box. You may be the first !

Hi,

I am still interested in submitting a track or two TravelRec! Just been real busy using KX for live performance related projects over the past month, that the recording has taken a back seat. Hopefully I'll have something for you by the end of August. Don't give up hope on the project, it's gonna be a great CD!
