Kx driver installation query.

Hi There.

I'm hoping someone can help me.

I want to install the KX drivers onto my Audigy 2 platinum card but I'm a little concerned that i may screw things up. I would like to know what improvements i will see (or rather hear . ) I have been having trouble running native instruments elektrik piano due to a lack of physical memory error. is it possible the kx driver will fix that?

My system set up is

intel pentium 4
2.53 GHz
1 Gig of ram
Audigy 2 platinum card

Also, once i have installed the driver, should i stop getting the official creative updates for my card? and will the drivers affect my games? I'm not able to dedicate my PC to music and audio so i feel it may be sensible to check in here before i install.

Thanks in a advance.

PS If there's any installation tips i should know about please tell me.

Hi:

This post should have been made in the General Disscussion forum. To get an answer for a number of your questions, read about the preliminaries to installing kX from this page: http://goldentee.mysitespace.com/sonar_kx_guide.htm

Welcome to DraiverHeaven.

And now the entire site has disappeared. Is that tutorial somewhere else or is everybody losing interest?

Hi Caithleann:

I'm not losing interest. It's just that I have a Creative soundcard that's only partially supported (which means I get loud hissing sound when I use my Mic with kX, so recording with kX is not a thing one wants to do with the hissing present, and because of that, it seems I have a lack of motivation to write another guide using another site), and back then, I was using a free WebHosting site for the kX and Sonar Guide I wrote, and that WebHosting has discontinued for reasons unknown to me.

Finally, if you nedd help with kX, please post in the General kX Forum. I'm sure we wouldn't mind helping you.
