Rowe - Journey's End (dj_stick remix)
Had this track completed for a bit over a week, but I wanted to "launch" it at the event i played at tonight.
It's a remix based on a melody a mate sent me (and he hasn't finished his mix yet)
Download
Feedback please

Twas a bit slow starting out, but I have to say I really enjoyed what it evolved into finally - and Im not one for electronica/dance normally either - Nice work - I likes it.

Hi dj_stick,
this is the best tune I ever heard from you - some elements at the beginning are quite stick(y) - melody is nice. Stereo FXs are very cool, the sound too. What kind of instruments you were using? How many percentage of real kX?
Greetings,
TravelRec.

i used mostly VSTi synths, not much kX involvement for that one…
Novation V-Station, AudioRealism BassLine, eMagic ES1, eMagic ESX24 w/ Vengenace club sounds samples was pretty much what i used
i'm working on a track atm with a hardware synth running through kX though

Pleasant and competent enough, but as a genre, that style really need some spark to make it shine.
My biggest comment would be to say that while there was sufficient stereo fx around, the primary instrumentation sounded firmly pinned dead-centre. (I listened on headphones)
I would have liked to have heard much more stereo spread.
And, depending on the context of the piece, reducing its length may have made it punchier.
