3. Here in the uk stores like Asda(walmart) have already dropped the prices to £39.99.
4. Moddable will never happen. Firmware updates will see to that. If you want to play homebrew or copied games buy a PC. If you mean hardware moddable rip the insides out and build a new case.
1. I'm talking about market price. Whatever is inside the box, the use is the same as before (i.e. gaming) so the price should remain the same.
2. The product is too fresh to rush on it. There are bugs.
3. £40 is expensive
4. Moddable is "open for homebrew". It is so nice to enjoy what you paid for

Damned I understand that money is not a problem for you and £40 is very affordable for a game price!

Correct, this is what I said on (1). Therefore there is no reason to pay it more than a XBOX 1 or a PS2 whatever the performance, cost or seduction ratio can be

My brother bought one and we both agreed too much hipe. Its a little better than the old xbox in some ways, but it was high def too. Thats the one thing I hear most kids say they want it for and I tell them mine was already running 1080i, just wasnt very many high def games to choose from. I say forget the 360 and play some ultra high def games on a pc hooked up to da big screen. It rocks the 360 and you dont have to pay any the stupid xbox live fee that is a joke.

personally i'm waiting for the ps3. i would definitely buy the 360 if i didn't have a computer to play all the games that are already on it. i played perfect dark zero and nothing really impressed me. the only thing the 360 can do right now is make all the textures shiny and sharp.

and i dont understand why microsoft wants to release halo 3 the day ps3 comes out. one game is not going to outsell a system and will not even come close to taking away attention from a console launch. the xbox 360 launch lineup was pretty lackluster, so sony can learn from this.

i bought my ps2 the day it came out, and i've been very happy with it. all the games are superb, but i haven't been too impressed with the graphics since xbox has always been better. this time around, ps3 will be released a year after xbox 360 with 1080p, up to 7 wireless controllers, and compact flash readers. i'll definitely be willing to shell out $450-500 for this bad boy if the games are good enough.

BWX will become famous soon enough
System Specs

The only thing I think I would buy a PS3 for would be GT5... but I am getting more into hardcore race simulations, and the GT series is actually very watered down for the masses... so much so that it is just too easy.

Of course if I have a big HD TV for my living room by then, it would probably be a very cheap HD disc player, with a console gaming system included to boot.. that way it might be worth it if I haven't gotten an HD media player by then. Hard to say.

xbox 360 will have forza motorsport 2 and test drive unlimeted also both the 360 and the ps3 have very similer specs (production time means nothing once the specs are finalized ).

the problem i think sony will have is nvidia as they like to dictate wot happens to their technology and control prices on it which will keep ps3 gpu prices high for a long time (it happened on the xbox so i see no reason why it cant happen to sony).ms on the other hand own all rights to the design of their gpu so all they do is look for the cheapest price and then u save money.

yea i do beleave the 360 has no killer app but the ps2 had the same problem wen released (i for one was sick of waiting for good games to come and was using ps1 games for about 3 months) but give the developers time and they will produce the goods wait and see.

another thing is that all the devlopers love the 360 and feel that as a games console the platform is more powerful , less forgiving and versitile than the ps3 (dev kits anyway) and as long as developers keep have a easier time coding the games then they will keep comming.

microsoft has spent too much cash to let it die and the ps3 specs are so similer (even the cpu`s are related as ibm produce them) that it will come down to a preference in games and wot u might find is once the ps3 is released and it becomes essential to produce next gen games the 360 will be flooded with them just bide your time

I've had a PS2 since 2001 when I was ill with Mono (not nice when you are in your 30's ). I bought it because I was in the middle of moving house and staying at my mothers with all my furniture and equipment in storage and wanted it mainly for watching DVD's, but didn't want to buy yet another DVD player...

I played GT3 and GTA3 on it while I was sick, but since then I've probably played it half a dozen times until Christmas last year, I've played it a few times since, but basically it just sits there gathering dust...

I really just can't get into console games. I play mainly simulations and RPG and consoles just aren't good at that, OK, you can get a steeringwheel for the consoles, but they are still more arcade based than all-out simulation (Flight Sim or X-Plane anyone?).

I can't see myself getting either an Xbox or a PS3... (And after the recent debacles from Sony, I'm not sure I'll be buying anything from them again...)
