I don't really care except quite a few PC games that came out in the last 18 months has had issues that wouldn't be there if the developer hadn't focused so much on the console edition. The usual bad ports are to be expected, but this other thing is worse.

*raises hand* Nintendo fan over here
Although I do think games are SO much better on PC, I think it's gunna be pretty sweet to take a random swing at air, and Link in Legend of Zelda will be slashing exactly the same way

Only console I ever had was one with "pong" on it. Also shoot the square IIRC. Consoles dont have the freedom of choice a pc does. Amstrad 6128, Amiga 600, p5-133, athlon palmino, thunderbred, mobile barton, A64 and Im on my 2nd A64 an opteron 146 @ 3Ghz.

Well the pc boys are the ones who are complaining about the lack of a mouse on a console for FPS. Now Nintendo might have created something even better.
I think the poll is a little biased against Nintendo what do the Nintendo fans think?

I like to think that the pc and console can live together. There are games on both formats that I like although I prefer the PC for the obvious advantages that it offers. I don't think consoles will ever replace a pc for gaming, but I do think we will see more integration of consumer electronic devices with the console such as a DVR, dvd recorder, satellite radio, handheld vid game/mp3 player, you name it. Mate all of this technology with a simple easy to control interface and remote/game pad and off you go.

I'll get them all. How can one think that gaming on one platform covers all the fun to be had in the gaming world? I'll never give up my PC, but sitting a bunch of my friends down in my living room, on a leather couch to race on my big screen HDTV is a riot and something that can't be captured with just a PC. Sometimes we play head to head and have little tournaments and the dudes who don't race in that heat can sit, watch and taunt. It's a completely different environment than your typical PC LAN party. So IMO, making PC gaming and console gaming mutually exclusive is just a plain waste. They can both be enjoyed and if you are lucky enough to afford them all, do it. It's a waste of time to compare and contrast them. They are too different.

I was thinking fairly the same thing.. consoles are meant for one-room multiplayer, and PCs for worldwide multiplayer

Actually I mutliplay on the PC. Im currently hooking the thing up to my HDTV. PC's rock and they have everything a console has but more. Take need for speed. The only draw back to it is there is no multiplayer on the same machine. But compare single player on it to any console game out there Including the 360 and they all come up short.
Maddon, Fifa, NHL, NBA all rock for game fests.

I voted for the Nintendo option...And yeah, the poll seems pretty biased against Nintendo-people. I think Nintendo's controller, the "Wand", will put an end to all the complaints about consoles being a rather inferior platform to play first-person shooter games. In the past, I have made the same argument, but now Nintendo seems to have figured out a great answer. The control scheme has the potential to work better than the mouse/keyboard combination. And with online gaming become a major factor for console gaming, I think that game modifications will eventually be made avaliable to their console brethren. Oh, and I also just love Nintendo games (Super Smash Brothers Revolution with online support, anyone?). I also plan to retire my Windows computer and buy a Mac when Leopard comes out

i pick consoles are for kids, i dont play them no more cuz i feel too old to be sitting there playing on a console and most people who has consoles that i know are younger then me.
to me there just cheap pcs for those who cant afford gaming pcs. i quited consoles 6 yrs ago because they was collection dust and i was playing my computer more then my consoles.
i grew up on gaming on pc so i am a pc person at heart. i want to beable to mod my games, Download new maps ,models, edit games to play a difent music file for this lv and so forth, i got bored with consoles cuz you would be playing the same game over and over and over and over. thats why they collected dust.
who ever voted pc gaming is dead must have been droped on there heards a couple of times when they was a baby.

playing FPS on consoles isnt that hard. Its not as precvise as a mouse but guess what, everyone else in the game is using a mouse either so you have the same capabilities.

Halo was the first one I didnt have an issue with though of course a mouse would offer finer control.
The X360 supports USB keyboards, so im guessing in time we may have a USB mouse for it with ingame options.. that would be a very cool feature if it was rolled out.

I agree.. Halo was the only FPS that I was able to fairly aim well, thanks to auto aim and some serious tweaking by Bungie. The game was so amazing (at that time) that I was able to enjoy it without too much trouble. But any other FPS, unless something special (Black maybe?) won't be worth my time. Nothing is more frustrating then having to tap-tap-tap yourself over the enemy to line up the crosshairs!

ps. luv your avatar Z! .. that's great!

Can't get Socom 3 on PC. I have 3 PC's - 3 PS2's - 1 Laptop - and 1 PS3 on order. Had the X-box,SNES,SEGA, etc. I just don't like the fact that you have to use 20 different keys to play PC games. I use my PC for music, 3d creating through Bryce and work of course. LOL.
Hope they can all just get along.

I voted for harmoney, both have ther adventages. I have a PC for FPS and my 360 for Driving games. Plus the better half loves platformers and i havent seen a decent one on the PC. Kameo fo rthe 360 is one nice looking game.

Personally, having grown up on consoles, I find it difficult to control any game with a keyboard and mouse. I guess I'm just too used to a gamepad. Plus, I'm not really into FPS games that much, the only ones I ever really liked being Metroid Prime 1 & 2. I'm more into rpg's and adventures, and some action games, and I like the feel of console versions of those genres as opposed to those on PC's. As for my vote, I'm not getting a new console just yet, and although I like Nintendo, I also like games for other consoles equally, so I didn't vote.
