No... I don't see a need for it, and I don't have enough money for it. Perhaps in couple of years...

just can't quite figure out if it's memory(all memory tests show no faults) or motherboard related so may end up needing to spend a little more on this one.but will be cheaper than swapping to pci-e and a new motherboard.

I am having the same friggin problem and its driving me up the wall, I am having problems when my computer is in dual channel mode only

I doubt it. I just spent a bunch of money. Had to compromise somewhat as it was buying an NF7-S rev. 2, another Mobile Barton 2500+, a coupla 512 sticks of Crucial Ballistix 4000, and a Highpoint RocketRaid controller. I did not however compromise on the Video Card with a made by ATI X800XT PE or the PS with a PC Power and Cooling Turbocool 510 Deluxe. Money is tight and this new rig rips through 3D apps with ease so I doubt my wife, who thankfully handles ALL the money, will be able to pull off another big round of upgrades this year. Also like has been said already, it doesn't really offer anything meaningful yet.

After seeing all the problems that we're having at my job (Princeton Computers -- a local computer shop), I'm not about to switch over to this new-fangled technology... not until it reaches PCI-X-][.... that, and SATA-2 .... I'm gonna go ahead and purchase a new nVidia 6600GT AGP 8x version... in about a week or so...

Unsure... If I have excess money and I feel the need to upgrade then I will... or when I start to see more games come out that need more power. But for now I'll stick with what I have :P

For quite a while all I had was my Compaq R3000 Laptop, a good machine that will run BF Vietnam and even FarCry, but I just got a desktop rig together and I went with PCI Express. I would think that anyone building a NEW rig would go with it, but as stated, it doesnt make a whole lot of diff. on todays apps./games etc.

Very unlikely - I have spent enough cash on this rig and although I'd like to upgrade to pci-e I cant afford to have to shell out for all the necessary components all at once.

No...while I have spent too much money.... I don't think I have a need.... the best I own is a modded 9500 Pro... or my AIW 9600XT so AGP has a ton of headroom left for me... I won't even buy another AGP card till next year.
