17" Sony Multiscan CDP-E250 1280x960 @ 85Hz
It's a very nice screen, except that it needs to warm up before the picture gets proper. When I switch it on i.e. on the morning, the picture is a bit of screen.
And it's extremely sensitive to magnetic fields, which is quite annoying. Other then that, it's a nice screen

Im really happy with my 19" Samsung SyncMaster CRT 959NF, does 1280x1024 at 100hz and 1600x1200 at 85hz. The screen is flat, reduces reflections remarkably well.

yah, CRT's can reach a lot higher of refresh rates, and all of those cheap LCD's have wicked ghosting. i can't stand to play jk2 on my friends 400USD LCD screen.

A 19" Princeton VF912 (1280 @ 85hz, 1600 @ 75hz )
I was playing System SHock 2 on my friend's cheap CTX flatscreen (which was a bit taller than a 4:3 ratio...) and it ghosted like hell. It was like three semi-transparent images being displayed on the screen at once, with horrid collors! WOW

1600 x 1200 @ 75hz isn't bad at all.. I have found that 75hz is actually not bad at all. Anything lower is no good, but 75 hz is ok...

Samsung SyncMaster 755DF 1024x768@103 HZ. LCDs are not for me yet, both price wise and performance wise, though they are getting close to my sweet spot .
