I don't have any reason to move to 7. Everything works fine and will continue to do so for a long while. I keep reading about games or other software having problems with 7, which could be driver issues, so that doesn't make any such move any better idea to me.

I don't see myself moving to 7, if not at all, not sooner than next year.

I'm running the beta on my pc, which had Vista home premium 64bit originally. As soon as the beta expires, I'm back to Vista. Whenever I'll build a new pc, I'll get Win7, but for now I'm all set concerning OS'es. I prefer Win7 to Vista by just a bit, but both are quite similar.

Yes of course even though it has had some issues let's remind ourselves it isn't often MS opens an OS to a public Beta. In fact in most cases the end user never would have seen these issues.

I like it better than Vista and it is already my primary OS.

i will stick with Vista until the inevitable Win 7 SP1 and then probably change the OS #

but for now its Vista for me

I have no need to change to win7 unless I have new hardware, which isn't likely in the foreseeable future. On my present systems, which do what I need quite well, XP is superior to Win7 RC so an "upgrade" would actually be a downgrade for me.

7 is already my primary OS on my main PC. I think that, most likely, I will continue to use Vista on my HTPC for quite awhile longer since im lazy and don't feel like setting up all my stuff again. So, half of my computers are on 7 and will continue that. The other half will stay with Vista.

When 7's released i'm gonna try get hold of a copy, been using it since build 7000 and only recently lost my dvd so i had to go back to vista after windows crapped out on me after an... "Experiement"... lol
Vista is a bloody good operating system but Microsoft have fine tuned Windows 7 so much it's even better, So i voted that Vista's great but i'll be moving anyway. Anyone else love the Ultrabar as much as me? It's a GODSEND If you use photoshop a lot.

I bought Vista along with my new computer not so long ago and I don't intend to get 7 anytime soon...

I'm not to sure to be honest...

As i am currently using win7 RTM and vista via a dual boot set up...

I prefer win 7 for the every day stuff.. Like word,Internet and watching the odd DVD etc...

But for gaming i prefer Vista as this is very stable for me through out all the games i like.. Win 7 is only slightly slower...But hopefully when w7 is released and the drivers are better supported.. i may change..

But as it stands now when the win 7 rtm expires i will be switching back to a single boot vista set up..

But i will be more certain when win7 is actually released to retail.

vista has seen it's ups and downs. but now that it has matured, a good majority of the bugs have been worked out. if i can get past the hardware issues with my recent build, i'd say vista is the perfect choice for me personally. sure it's a resource hog, but i'll suffer a little performance hit for a more enjoyable aesthetic appeal over XP. and to be honest i haven't tried 7, but from screen-shots i've seen, it looks just like a revamped vista. perhaps i'll switch, but i can't justify another $300+ in the same year for an operating system, when the one i have now works great.

My XP machine will die with XP on it.

I guess my next build or buy when the time comes, will be Win7 - skipping Vista as I skipped 95.

Using XP , hate both Vista and 7 I even prefer to format the laptop published with win vista and install xp.

I'm still using XP. Vista makes me wanna bash my head in! I will migrate to win 7 next year, hopefully it will work properly by then!

I am sticking with the RC until it expires. I can't afford an official DVD, and won't be able to for a while, so I'll be using XP come June 2010.

I have decided I will stick with Vista until Christmas holidays. I've read far too many posts about games not launching etc I'd rather not have to go through the trouble of finding workarounds, that and I am really not looking forward to reinstalling about 30 games and tons of programs onto a new OS unless it will be a painless transition. Hopefully, by then most of the games and programs I use will work fine on Windows 7.

I really don't see any reason why people wouldn't move to W7 unless money is an issue. I will be moving on to W7 myself.

Aren't there still issues with games? I don't quite understand why there would be since Windows 7 drivers are supposed to be like Vista but that bugs me.
