AMD Slipped up when they bought ATI, they forgot they made CPUs as well so all the new ones that they desperately tried to keep their market share with were rendered completely obsolete when Intel's minimum buck for maximum bang C2Ds came in.
I do seriously hope AMD can make the new Phenom work though, intel will have to keep the prices down then... that's the only reason lol, i still voted intel... ftw

The company has been restructuring for a quite a few months because they bought ATI. Working at ATI or AMD during that time was probably a pain as it should have been. It was likely one of the reasons products were delayed as they both had to change their game plan and work on the new plan for the future called Fusion. Of course this would cause chaos for a while. Corperate restructuring always causes short term chaos, but we need to look in to the long term. Is it going to eventually cause results.
Anyways a Phenom Processor should more than meet my needs and we NEED AMD/ATI and I believe in their future outlook so they are getting my money.

Phenom X4 is the name that AMD is giving to it's desktop Barcelona based processor. Otherwise you can think of it as an Athlon 64 X4. Although core for core it is faster than the Athlon 64 because of it's reworked architecture.
Anyways the Phenom X4 is basically an AMD processor with 4 cores that is socket compatible with the AM2 socket but designed for AM2+. AM2+ will give the benifits of better power management, HT3, PCI-Express 2, etc..

Which CPU are you most anticipating?
voted for 45nm Intel.
interested in upcoming 2008 Intel E8000 series processor,
and Intel Eaglelake chipset DDR3 memory motherboard (probably Eaglelake-P as soon as available).

wow, very interesting results. Really looks like people have lost faith in AMD.
