Sony Ericsson Walkman series > iPhone. Seriously. Phone is supposed to be a phone, not a shiny piece of crap that drains your wallet and be no use to you. What i need from phone is pretty laconic. Calling function, rarely SMS function, Walkman is a nice little add-in and well...Thats pretty much it. I'm so happy with W300i.

I don't have it for a number of reasons. First of all, it's unavailable here. Second, if I had an extra $500-600, I'd probably spend it on a vacation with my girlfriend, or, if I had to spend it on tech stuff, computer upgrade, or something, definitely not on a phone (not all, at least).
Also, from all I've read, even though the reviewers are generally praising it, I concluded that almost everything on that phone works almost perfectly ("almost" being the keyword in this sentence).
Not to mention that they could have made a "Made to rip you off" logo for it: apart from the high price, I've read that you can't use your own mp3s as ringtones, but only the ones you download and pay for, if you ever need a battery replacement you'd better be ready to say goodbye to your phone (for a few days), the data in it and an extra $87 (permanently)...

Can't guarantee, since I haven't actually been even near one. I only read the review on Anandtech, which is praising, but states some flaws (one of the things: if you type a lot of text, better stick to Blackberries), I read the news about the battery here, and some other stuff (like not being able to use your own mp3s as ringtones) I read today on the front page of PVP (the comic book) where the author gave a sort of user review in his blog. Everyone says that they love it, but they still mention a bunch of things that don't work too well.

The sole reason I even have a home phone is for my DSL connection or in the event that I need 9-1-1.
I haven't had any phoned hooked up except one and that one has had the ringer off for some time.

I have no cell phone, and no interest in getting one. If I did, I'd be getting the cheapest one available, all I need in a phone is the ability to make telephone calls.
So obviously, no interest in the iphone.

In the UK the likes of the Xda and Nokia N95 blow it out of the water feature wise, the lack of 3g support here will also not help, but it'll sell well, as its an "i" product, style over substance works here, sadly.

Ive always hated I products. Its the drm stuff that makes me hate them. I got a regular mp3 player and a phone that plays mp3s and that is all I need. We can trade with each other without having anything locked with drm. I told my whole family they where nutz for buying ipods. Now their ipods lay around the house because they went out and got a regular mp3 player.

I got a look at IPhone offitial forum and the phone seems to cause a lot of trouble for a lot of people. Sure it looks great and you can do everything with your finger or fingers (multitouch) but its very bugy and to be honest i was thinking to grab an IPhone or Gigabyte Gsmart Q60 and im going with Gsmart.
