Just bought another Corsair XMS2 TWIN2X2048-6400 2GB Kit ($140 minus $30 rebate, same as in my specs.. which is sick, becuase I paid 2x that in November to get the first kit!!!), got the D-Link DNS-323 ($210) with a 500GB Segate SATA drive ($FREE!!!!!), G-15 Keyboard ($75), and G5 mouse ($40).
I figure by the end of the year I'll plop down another $1000 or so getting a new video card, or maybe even to upgrade my main machine, and redoing it as an MCE or Vista Ultimate multimedia machine.

aquired a Wii and a DS lite this year so far, but as regards comp bits all I've bought for myself is more disc space
just rebuilt gf's computer though, what a huge difference DDR2 and SATA2 make to the general speed of the thing windows was installed before I knew what was happening, think a big upgrade is on the way for me real soon.
wittering again, so far this year probably only between 500 - 1000. heading for my third / fourth mp3 player if that counts? 2nd ipod of the year coming soon , damn things keep breaking on me.

Guess it depends on the currency being used .
I've spent 3 goats and a duck.
On a more sensible not i've probably spent about 500 with my second graphics card and various other bits and bobs

Well ... <sigh> ... I'll be dumping my 160GB Seagate SATA drive to a client, so I think I might get myself another 500GB Seagate SATAII drive to throw into the DNS-323 NAS box, and set it up for RAID 1. Should only cost me about $100.
To be honest, this will be the first hard drive I've had to buy in over a year now. The first 500GB Seagate, and the 2x75GB WD Raptors didn't cost me a penny (they were.. um... bribes).

Over 5,000 is what I voted..
I got a really expensive TV- (about $3300 altogether for that) then some smaller stuff, like a $300 PC racing wheel (Logitech G25), a new router, I think it has been less than a year since I got my 7900GTX- but it is getting close. Got a new receiver a couple weeks ago, that was about 370 bucks, got as 500GB HD and external enclosure for the HD DVR... a camera with 2 memory cards, bought my wife an 8GB Sansa at Best Buy (probably paid too much), a Uniden digital phone system with an extra handset, etc, etc..
Damn, I have had a great F'ing year, and it ain't over yet! Last year would have been only 500 or less, maybe up to 1000 if I was lucky. 2007 has been awesome so far... I have to settle down now, or in 2008 I will be eating a lot of Ramen noodles.

I was wondering which currency, if it is Indian rupees heck its squillions :P If you are talking US green backs then it is over $1500. This isn't all for me I purchase for other people - I doubt that this counts though?

Around 600, since I went from AMD to Intel. But that will go under 500, once I sel my old parts.

The currency was deliberately left off, so USA and UK guys could mark it according to their own economy.

Now that I added it up, I feel worse. Over $1000 and all small, but nice stuff. Well the monitor wasn't exactly small, but small compared to what some get.
edit: Ooops I just realized quite a bit more if you count the multimedia stuff (for movies, music or whatever), connected into an old athlon 800. I really have to stop this.

I have spent approximatly $1500 Canadian on my system this year (2 seperate MBs, 4 gigs of ram, 3 video cards, 2 hard drives, and one Operating System.) + I have bought a digital camera, a cell phone, a couple of lcd monitors, an MP3 player. and some games, so if I add it all up, I am looking at close to $2000 ca.

I have spent money on 1gb of ram and a new hard drive after my old one failed.
Having bought vista earlier on, my 1gb was not enough, and with games these days using up so much system memory i thought i would do so.
I also spent some money on a nice Core2duo processor and m/b after being fed up with my AMD X2.
