I'm waiting to see how it does after Cat 7.5 or 7.6.

Considering the Drivers we have been getting lately I'm in no hurry. I am planning to build a new rig probably the end of next month and TBH my loyalty is waining towards the Red Team as of late and for me right now its a tough decision to make.

As much as I want to love it, Im just not impressed. I'm waiting for the next run of DX10 cards anyway, I hope next year is brighter for ATI. Then again, NV has me pissed with not releasing drivers for XP, so I'm equally bothered by that. I won't be picking up one of their cards untill I'm sure that every eight months they don't stop driver development on my card and focus solely on the next generation cards.

Not worth the $100+ over a 8800 GTS.

I'm waiting to see if driver improvements bring up the performance of the card. If that is the case, I'll buy one. Otherwise I may do the unthinkable and get an Nvidia 8800 something. Not sure which model though. (GTS or GTX)

HD 2400 and HD 2600 are 65nm and have UVD. Or did you mean the R650?

I dont think they had any choice but to release it because of all the hype they put into it, but I think they should have canceled it and waited for the new shrink to 65nm because of all the negative press it created and AMD has enough on their plate trying to get cash flow
