The Raelian Movement
As far as I know, the Raelian Movement is the only religion that demystifies everything around us. Everything has a rational explanation. For those who never heard of the Raelian Movement here's a brief explanation: All life was created by scientists from another planet, including us. The universe in infinite in time and space. Rael, the last prophet, was given the responsibility by the Elohim (term used by Raelians for those scientists from another planet) to spread the final message to all humanity.

Rael is from the same Province as I am from and let's just say that his name is synonymous with allot of nonsense, humility and grief. I see the Raelians as cultists. Period. I won't go into exact details but seeing as he is from my region, let's just say that we hear allot on it.

Its no different from Christianity or Islam - its another religion.
It 'demystifies' as much as the bible does, there is nothing 'scientific' about it.

Our creators were created by other scientists from another planet and those creators were created by other scientists from another planet and so on ad infinitum. There is no starting point. If we don't destroy ourselves, we too will create life on other planets.

The Raelian Movement had nothing to do with the cloning of the babies. It was the company that headed the Clonaid project (Clonaid is the name of the project not the company) that did the cloning. The owner and some (but not all) of the workers just happen to be Raelian.
Also, the Raelian Movement is not a cult but an atheist organization.

"Rael, the last prophet, was given the responsibility by the Elohim (term used by Raelians for those scientists from another planet) to spread the final message to all humanity"
I feel a lot more demistyfied now, thank you. So, a prophet receives revelation from alien scientists - THAT'S Science, mate.
The Elohim, btw, is a Genesys term translated by "The Lord"; originally a *plural* form of Eloah (which is translated by "God" in Christian versions of the Bible). This situation has been used to support the theory that Moses adapted an older politheistic religion to monotheist Mosaism. Hey, the alien scientists were here before... they've been on vacation for the last 4 billion years, but they're back and kicking - oh, wait, in Elohim science life on Earth *is* 4 billion years old... like in what we mystified losers call "science"?
The website in your sig is even more demystyfying than your posts - as a matter of fact I'd roll on the floor in demystification, if I wasn't at work. The Raelian Movement is the first religion in many things - it is the very first religion with a [holy] FAQ:
http://www.rael.org/e107_plugins/faq/faq.php Not a lot of answers on this page, though.
It's also the first religion with a "search" function - very convenient, you type the term in the "Search for" box, press search, and...
Search for... God.
No matches. One would expect that.
Search for... truth.
No matches. Hmm...
Search for... Rael.
No matches.
OK, so the Elohim suck at web design, no sweat. Let's check the contents.
The page titled "The Message" seems a good place to start. Turns out Rael - a French journalist - was approached as early as 1973 by an alien looking like a Japanese fellow, exuding "harmony and humour", that dictated him not one, but several messages... excerpts are presented on the page:"We were the ones who designed all life on earth"
"We were at the origin of your main religions" etc.
It's not clear if life and the main religions were created simultaneously, or the Elohim supervised the whole planet for a number of billions of years, or even that, in Elohim science, all life was created at once (i.e. bacteria, dinosaurs and mankind etc.).
The latter possibility would make Elohim science "creationism", a discipline (actually "belief") generally rejected by the scientific community as "pseudoscience". The latest outbreak in the creationism/science "debate" is the "Dover trial" - families of students sue school over decision to teach "intelligent design", on grounds of violating the constitutional separation of church and state - http://www.cbsnews.com/stories/2005/...n1015780.shtml.
The full body of the scientific message, with all the details of how life was created from DNA, and a twisted version of the Eloah/Elohim stuff above, is too large to fit on a web page - you have to "CLICK HERE TO DOWNLOAD THE FREE E-BOOK!" - supposedly the equations and theorems of your salvation will land on your harddrive, but my lunch break is over, and I don't have the time to check if the Elohim made the first holy free e-book more available than the search function on their site. It is called "Intelligent Design".
Eureka! ...er
Evohe!

I actually had the opprotunity to read aobut raelions and there beliefs in a book given to me - some of my favorite parts
all prophets have long hair and beards cause it acts as an antena for telepathic communication (they also can preform miracles through this, for example samson of the bible lost his strength once his hair was cut)
the reason that the water was wavey when Christ walked apon it - was that the elohim were shooting an anti-gravatational beam to suspend him above the water. that is why when he enters the boat the sea becomes calm again.
Jona was swalloed by a sub-marine not a whale (anyone can make that mistake)
and apparently elohim like their food extremly well done - hence burnt offerings to god.
It was an interesting read - but i lost most my interest when they change their swaztica star symbol - because it was recieved badly by the jewish community (go figure)
Now the last expierence that i had with the Raelions was in Playboy - apparently they have realy hot chicks that dont mind posing nude - Now that is brilliance if the Mormons and Jehova Witnesses wanna prosilite they should do it like that !!!
still ddnt make me wanna join up

that is a religion.
a stupid one at that.
Isn't this the same thing as scientology? Or am I mistaken?
Nihilism is probably the only true 'demistifying' belief, as you put it...but It's not really a religion...more of a mindset.
