Well that's sure nice of him. Unfortunately I don't really give a damn one way or another. Jesus it seems to me keeps some very odd company. The dumb, the ignorant, the self obsessed, the self loving and all of the down right selfish among us seem to flock to him in their droves. People who say they believe in him are often the most petty sorts you could ever hope to meet, they think they can do or say anything they want without any comeback - because even one second before taking their last breath, so long as they say sorry, "Jesus will forgive them!"

I mean for crap's sake, take some responsibility in your life why don't you!?!?

I've done things wrong in my life for sure (just like most people) and sometimes they chew me up and I find it hard to deal with the guilt - but hey I deserve to feel guilty - I earned that guilt all on my own. I certainly don't need a permission slip from some 'invisible' third party to tell me I don't need to feel guilty any more. That is like I said, just another excuse for irresponsility.

We all make mistakes, but the important thing is to learn from them, to take them on board - and hopefully to try to be better people next time round. But simply fobbing off our mistakes as though they didn't matter and then seeking the love and forgiveness of some fantasical other entity (just like we did when we were small and we did things wrong - when we sought the love and forgiveness of our parents) seems to me to be positively childish.

Harsh as it might seem, at some point in your life you are supposed to grow up - and leave all of these childish and irresponsible things behind.

There is a simple test, this is for all you believers out there.
Find the nearest cliff, Ask Jesus or god to please save you life if they really do exist. Then Jump.
