Yes but they do dry runs and pratice arming the exposives, optumal placement,
and what would detonate the exposive. Maunal detonation. For example they could
try thier make shift detonator and if it failed the could "hot wire it". How to oconseal
the explosives etc etc etc... Dry runs etc...
In these last cases a millatary type explosive was used and their very stable.
The detnators went off, the exposeives did not so someone screwed up...
The detonator must be properly placed and used or no "boom". It verry hard
to detonate use such charges wit out the proper detonators and setup... |

Why blow up commuters in the first place? You'd think somewhere in the holy jihad orientation video there would be a segment on the fact that actual state heads and decision makers never ride mass transit!

No, but the whole idea of terrorism is to try and scare the general public, so they'll put pressure on their government. But i have a feeling that that is futile in the UK any many other countrys, it only makes the general public hate these terrorists more and wanting the government to be even tougher on suspected terrorist. |

Yeah most places the terrorism won't work, but sometimes it does (look at the spanish bombings before the elections, the bombs went off, the elections went they way the terrorists wanted them too, it made me sad to see the noble people of spain bow to the demands of terrorism)

given that the name of their 'profession' is terrorism. and the fact that many people are terrorized enough to cast aside their civil liberties on a whim I'd say they have a lot of people right where they want them.
They never could have done it without the media's knack for turning a handful of nutjobs with an agenda into world news tho. Thanks largely in part to 24 hour news channels in need of something more interesting to report than who brad pitt is fucking this week, terrorists are just taking advantage of free advertising by journalists caring more about the entertainment value in "what could be" than the responsiblity of reporting what actually is. |
