Kerry saw that Bush took vacation for 43% of his pre-9/11 presidential term and decided to outdo him. No one can say that 67% isn't more than 43%. Just another shining example of Kerry working hard (or not) for you!

Neon do you truly believe the tripe that comes directly from any candidates site ??

in particular a negative ad ??

Try reading this for an analysis. This ad in particular is pretty new and has not been looked at by msnbc but it has at www.factcheck.org .
After reading through those you may find it ironic that Bush-Cheney used the word "disingenuous" to describe Edwards. No politician ever tells the whole truth. As for deciding between Bush and Kerrey. Well it seems to me that Bush has developed a large credibilty gap.
On everything from WMD to his campaign adds. I know that changing your mind (Neon) is most likely a lost cause. But maybe someone else's eyes can be opened to something other than the crap coming from
the respective campaigns.

you say that the senate asked him to resign , right ??
funny I did a little research on that ....turns out it was RightMarch.com

read about it www.cnsnews.com/Politics.asphere[/url]

Neon if your gonna post something and claim it as fact it would be best to post some kind of proof/link.
the following is a quote from the story regarding rightmarch.com

Quote:
(CNSNews.com) - A conservative organization says it is taking out full-page ads in Boston-area newspapers during the Democratic National Convention, demanding that Sens. John Kerry and John Edwards resign from the U.S. Senate while they run for office, something that isn't likely to happen.

/1/2004 — John F. Kerry Must Resign
A citizen petition calling on Senator John F. Kerry to resign his seat in the Senate.

Quote:
7/1/2004 — John F. Kerry Must Resign
A citizen petition calling on Senator John F. Kerry to resign his seat in the Senate.

Signers: 65487

To Senate President Richard Cheney and Senate Majority Leader Bill Frist:

We, the People of these United States, rightfully petition John Kerry resign his seat in the U.S. Senate.

John Kerry has a long and well-documented history of providing "aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of war -- particularly in the case of North Vietnam.

Kerry, by his own account, violated the UCMJ, the Geneva Conventions and the U.S. Code while serving as a Navy officer, and he further stands in violation of Article three, Section three of the U.S. Constitution which defines treason as "giving aid and comfort" to the enemy in time of warfare.

Thus, he is subject to the Constitution's Fourteenth Amendment, Section 3, which states, "No person shall be a Senator or Representative in Congress, or elector of President and Vice-President ... having previously taken an oath ... to support the Constitution of the United States, [who has] engaged in insurrection or rebellion against the same, or given aid or comfort to the enemies thereof."

It is for this reason -- for his record of giving aid and comfort to the enemy while a member of the U.S. Armed Forces in violation of this oath -- that Senator Kerry must resign his seat in the U.S. Senate.

Signed,

As for the senate calling for his resignation it could of just be a gruop of senators, mabe not everyone but none the less some in the senate would like him to resign due to his derliction of his senate duties

senators, governers etc all kind of people belive and say he should resign

There are also petitions for Bush to be impeached. Is that the right thing to do? I'm not sure but there are always groups of people who don't like there leaders. Just because some people may have wanted Kerry to resign doesn't make him a bad senator. I'd like Rumsfeld and Wolfowitz to step down for there failures regarding Iraq. They aren't going to and I can't make them but just because I called for their resignation should others just assume they are worthless? No! Fact check for yourself and don't just assume other people are truthful and/or intelligent. And btw I'll be taking things said by those that have campaign banners as sigs with a big-a** grain of salt

I took it upon myself to do a google search...even though the burden of proof is upon you since you made the original claim.

Here are a few of the sites that came up.

www.boycottliberalism.com

www.mattmargolis.com
(has picture of Jenna Bush/main page/caption eye candy)

www.blogsforbush.com

www.gopusa.com
(bringing the conservative message to america)

www.talonnews.com
(supplier news to www.gopusa.com)

The Heritage Foundation
(consevative think-tank)

patriotpetitions.us
(the link you provided)

reuters.com

The really interesting thing is that the only officials noted in any of these stories were
Massachusetts Lt. Gov. Kerry Healey (r)

Massachusetts Gov. Mitt Romney (r)

in all likelyhood the Gov and Lt Gov of Mass would like to appoint William Weld (r) to the senate to take Kerry's place.

Again I ask you what senators or governors are asking for Kerry's resignation ??

With the exception of Healy/Romney mentioned above I could find no reference to any senator or any other public official.

Healy/Romney would love the oppurtunity to appoint a republican as it would tilt the balance in favor of the rep party again. Smacks of patisanship to me as do the editorials etc etc I found on the sites above. Notice they are all conservative sites? (with the exception of reuters)

Or did that detail escape you. Reuters ran the story quoting Healy/Romney nothing more.

as for patriotpetitions.us...that is a piece of work. Here are a few of their "causes"

Exonerate Lt. Col. Allen B. West from Criminal Prosecution
**indicted on criminal charges regarding abuse of detainees in Iraq

Repeal the 16th Amendment and Abolish the Income Tax
**oh this would work real well replace one tax with another....whats the point.

Terminate U.S. Membership in the UN
** another winner
