Liberalism Is a Serious Mental Disorder
Yes, of course liberalism is a mental defect." And Michael Savage always refers to liberalism as a "serious mental disorder." Exhibit A, from The Savage Nation: "Libearlism is unraveling the very fabric of this great nation. And the sooner you understand that liberalism is a dangerous mental disorder, the sooner you can break free from this insanity that attacks the way you live, how you conduct your business, the way you worship, the choice of SUV you drive, the food you eat, and the very freedoms you enjoy."
Well, here's some proof to back them up:
The Crimson poll found that 80 percent of undergraduates felt depressed at least once last year. Forty-seven percent felt so depressed it was difficult to function at least once. Ten percent said they had seriously considered committing suicide.
The poll surveyed a random sample of Harvard College students over a four-day period in December; 361 students responded to the poll, which was administered online via a secure, authenticated server. Statistics had a margin of error of plus or minus six percentage points.
“We must admit as a University that we have a problem,” says Hilary C. Robinson ’03, a first-year student at Harvard Law School who went to University Health Services (UHS) Mental Health Service this fall and says she was shocked to learn how overburdened UHS is with students seeking therapy.
Undergraduates have started to realize how common mental illness is at the College, according to Director of UHS Mental Health Service Dr. Richard D. Kadison.
“Harvard students are getting better at realizing that mental health problems here are normal,” he says.
Harvard's student body is overwhelmingly liberal. Mental illness is a serious problem at Harvard. A possible cause-and-effect relationship here. Far from pleading the 5th, Harvard seems to be indicting itself. Need I say more?

Yes, you do. You need to tell me, in 50 words or less, how this proves causation and not correlation. Do you know the difference?
Also, Michael Savage is a hateful, worthless human being. It's posts like these that give us on the right a bad name.

I would tend to agree. Anyone who voted for Clinton or Gore had to have a mental problem. Anyone who going to vote for Kerry should get help now.

Liberals have an unhealthy fear of human differences, and yet also have a hatred of the "normal". For instance, they believe that people -- and by "people", they mean "you" -- are not capable of responsible gun ownership, because you just might go wild and shoot someone, controlled by something scary inside your head that you don't even know is there, and can't fix. They believe that you, if you ever had ancestors from Africa, are unable to compete on an equal basis with people of European descent -- nor can you females compete on the same level as males, nor any of you non-white-males compete with white males equally. They believe that you need to be helped, protected, given advantages, and consoled (with money) when you fail. They believe that you white males are full of secret hatreds that you don't even realise you harbor, and that you need to be trained not to express -- and if you DO express your "wrong" opinions, it can cause actual harm to others. Liberals believe that as children, you should all be taught that you are no different than anyone else -- no winners, no losers, no ranking, no grades, no pass, no fail, no punishments and no rewards -- and then want you to "celebrate your diversity". Is this not the sign of some kind of mental disease?

I think people will follow Gore , Kerry, or Edwards into hell just because he is a democrat. Anyone that will champion the causes of people that want a free ride and a free lunch and remain on the great governmnet teat will probably follow any democrat. No you dont have to be mental to be a democrat, but it helps. My family is evenly divided on the question of who they will vote for, but the underlying theme seems consistent, just because Kerry is the only choice they have...they will vote for him. They are so opposed to republicans based partisen politics...no rational thought required. Vote democrat and get a free lunch...And you can continue to hug a tree, and watch reruns of F 9/11. I have been a republican since Bierut, I vote for a president with the capability to make a decision regardless of which constituent or minority is screaming for a bigger piece of the pie, special interests will bleed this country dry without stiff republican opposition.

i think the difference is this: bush may not be a great PR guy, but kerry flip-flops and seems like a genuine socialist.

A vote for Kerry is a serious vote against Bush. That's why there are more anti-Bush ads then there are pro-Kerry ads.
Best case senario I would like to see is for Bush to win such a pathetic crappy race with 40% or less of the vote, Kerry with 30% or less and some third party candidate with 20%. Our two party system sucks. There's no real middle ground.

well, the party system is partially based on the ability to gather funds. the economy cant really support that many parties to be taking in enough money to even get their message out....but i agree...sometimes you dont like either parties solution (perscription drug care comes to mind)

Are you sure our economy can't support over two parties? If so, let's do it!!! To hell with all this damned advertising. Maybe they'll watch where the money goes instead of carefree spending of the taxpayer's dollars.

i was...uhh...naming their primary faults (in my eyes). that's how they differ...thats how all people differ..in there faults.
if you ever talk to me about a movie or game, even if i like it alot...i only mention what annoyed me or i didnt like...because the rest of the game should already be marked as good or great (because that is my overall opinion). alot of people get mad at me for doing this though...
you can't say 'to hell with advertising' because then we wouldnt know these peoples names when we went to vote!

The irony of 'liberalism' being labeled a disease is extreme, especially considering that there are only hair-splitting differences between our only two major political parties.

I've offered for you to come over for party's and bbq's and stuff. So it's not my fault there's a lack of roasting.

And the simple idea that Liberalism is a mental disorder doesn't belong in a political debate forum, it belongs in the trash.

I would go as far as to say that liberalism is not only a mental disorder, but a form of insanity.
Let's examine the evidence:
Paranoia: Hillery's "Vast right winh conspiricy".
Delusions of Grandure: " We take your tax money because WE can spend it better than you can." Also, "You can't make it on your own, so WE have to help you."
Altered Perception of Reality: Spending 10 Billion this year on education as opposed to 8 Billion last year is a CUT IN SPENDING.
Denial: Oral sex isn't sex.
If it LOOKS like a duck, and WALKS like a duck, and QUACKS like a duck, it damned sure IS a duck.
OH, and for you liberals that may want to ignore the SUBSTANCE of this post, and concentrate on any misspellings, I would invite you to participate in a solo, copulatory. reproductive exercise.
