Question about Israel...
This topic might be in the wrong forum...but i guess it has a political nature.. 
I just wondered why is it that when it comes to sports, such as track and field, football(soccer), swimming and most other European championships, that Israel is competing in them..? Last i checked Israel was pretty far from being in Europe...
I have a hunch that it's something to do with the jews who immigrated from Europe to Israel after the ww2, but i'm not sure about this..anyone who has a clue about this...?
Edit: I have nothing against that Israel is participating in these events, i'm just curious...  |

The only games the local Arabian nations want to play are 'death to Israel' and 'suicide bomb the Jews.' Just a good thing for Israel that they hate each other too much to organize (Saddam tried and failed).
Israel is the kid who moved to a different neighborhood, but is still part of the old one. Especially since the new one hates them so much.

Sorry if it came out wrong. I didn't mean all Arabs, just the people in control. I honestly don't think most normal citizens could really give a damn what happens outside their daily lives (this probably goes for the rest of the world, too). I'd elaborate more, but I've gotta go to the restroom so bad that I'm all but dancing in this chair (good thing it swivels).

Ah, okay. I thought you were making a generalization. Stereotypes are so ignorant by nature and only lead to hate. It's redundant.
