The Pope and the presidency

Mr. Kerry will have a tough trip upstream with his stance on abortion and pro choice, The pope and his clergy take a dim view of the man that intends to run against Bush. I see more problems on the horizen for this Kennedy wannabe.....only a matter of time. Loyal catholics will no doubt be swayed by Bush and his conservative position, at least the Pope will be happy.

Does anyone still care what the pope thinks? And just who are these loyal catholics? The old women who fill the first couple of rows in church at 6:00 am on Sunday or the masses of 'catholics' who can't be bothered to drive down to get their weekly ration of Jesus? Too many of the catholics I grew up with are too concerned about themselves and putting down others to care what some old fart in Europe thinks.

The staunch pro-choicers and pro-lifers have already made their decision on whether they want Bush or Kerry. It's the swing voters that matter and they will be concerned with issues like the economy, the war, and terrorism -- not abortion.

Yes indeed, and those that actually served with Kerry and know the real story of his heroism, (or lack of) and his bland delivery should influence those that are consumed with the desire to vote for an independent candidate too. Kerry may come close, but Bush will win again, I vote for Bush, and not the snob from Mass.
