Rush Limbaugh Jail Or Treatment

All I know is that he is a big fat hypocrite that before he got hooked, called Jerry Garcia just another dead doper and pre 1996 before he got hooked, wanted to take all the druggies and put them on and island. Rush says after he got hooked he stopped letting his stance on drugs be known. You think Rush? So Rush how does the Antarctic sound right about now? I live in ohio and just this past year we voted on but lost a close vote to treat drug offenders instead of incarceration. Betcha Rush believes in that stance now, since all hypocrites and celebrities who have mucho money put themselves in rehab before trial or investigations, so if they do get in trouble they can see "look judge im trying to straighten myself out" Why didnt you do it before you got caught Rush? Too bad for all the poor people out there who cant check themselves into country club rehabs when they want to get clean. Poor people dont have the means or insurance. Listen make all drugs leagal, tax the drugs, use all drug taxes to build treatment centers for when people want to get clean. By taxing drugs you put out of business organized crime, street gangs (drive bys included) corrupt politicians who take drug money from organized crimes and last but not least the violent drug lords in South America. Rush now is the time to the right thing and use your IEB network and talk about the drug laws, if anything its in your best interest as if youu dont have a dream team like O.J. did you should do some time for turning your maid into a drug mule and doctor shopping, having 2 pain doctors giving you pain medication aat the same time, and the 50 cash withdrawals under $10,000 to avoid IRS flags from going up. I still think that regardless Rush will get off as the rich dont live by the same laws as the poor.

Treatment,
rush has an addiction, and for a celebrity he will always be know as an addict, but many presidents were addicts, as well as elder statesmen, famous artists and heros, so I give him the time and the patience to get his life back together, but he has to admit that the drug is stronger than he is

you can actually go to his public website, but people magazine, time, CNN and cable news has carried little bits and pieces of the story.

I think you may find that Rush said surprisingly little on the topic of drugs.

But why bother doing the research when you can assault straw men all day long?

absolute truth, and he like over 2 million people in the U.S. struggle with additctions to prescription drugs. Even if he is sober for lack of a better term, he must always face the spectre and the stigma associated with addiction, he can never go back. Once an addict, always an addict, like reformed smokers, they can easily slip back into nicotine abuse very easily without some kind of spirtual and emotional support. Believe me I know. Oxycontin works so damn well you feel nothing at all, it is very very good high, perhaps not as intense as Heroin but the chemical markers remain in the synaptic areas of the nerve tissue as long as your alive, and nothing comes close to the buzz....I wish Rush well..and a full recovery, he is one pompous ass I dont mind listening too...lol
And certainly more entertaining than Al Gore

He had prescriptions from more than one Dr.......for the same medication.......and for the same "pain".......that is illegal......doesn't make a difference if it was from the street or not.......both cases are illegal........and if he wasn't rich as hell.........he would end up in jail.......with felony charges. All forms of morphine carry a very high penalty for illegal use and distibution...........

End of Story........

My step dad was addicted to oxycotin. It controls you you dont control it. He had back surgury and they perscribed it. He had to go through a treatment plain to get off it. Should he have gone to jail? No i dint think so. Maybe they should ask the doctors why they perscribe such adicting drugs

Also anyone thing for you to ponder. Was rush in anyway affecting you right to life ,liberty, personal property? Or hell in you in anyway form or fashion? HELL NO@! Then why care drugs should be legal this war on drugs is stupid. Its a loosing battle that we will never win. treatment plans are a cheaper solution and work.

Treatment for Rush? Of course.

Jail time? Depends on the severity of the crime. Was anyone harmed (other than Rush)? What is the average sentance for a first time offender? If I were a judge, I would lean towards therapy for those who commit victimless crimes. As a voter I would vote to repeal all victimless crimes such as drug offenses.

I am for treatment, as I think the war on drugs is more harmful than the drugs themselves. I'm not saying that we should legalize all drugs, but that we need to rethink our policies on them.

I think that Rush should go to karma jail, though, for all of his past mistreatments of people with drug problems and his unforgiving nature towards them.

If one is a junkie during several years how can it then be that you commit a "first time crime".

Will someone please explain that to me?

the crime was the aquisition of the drug, the the quantities he possessed when he was charged. Alcoholics are not lawbreakers if they buy it and drink it where they cannot hurt anyone. This is really about a disease, and he is a celebrity with a problem.
