Kadhafi is seeking honor for Libya

I appears that the Libya is officially taking responsibility for two seperate attacks on civilian aircraft years ago..Families of the victems of both airline bombings will recieve some compensation, and lawyers for the families will profit as well...but the supreme leader for libya will attempt to reinforce his position that not officially sanctioning the attacks, his country assumes responsibility. The actual compensation of the victems remains to be seen, as the entire sum may be whittled down by lawyers and beaurocrats...

Is there any doubt in anyone's mind that Libya's newfound willingness to take responsibility is the direct result of the Bush Doctrine and our willingness to project our power abroad?

this is not unprecedented..and may signal a new alignment caused by the Bush Doctrine ..
Libya is still a rogue nation in my opinion...
Kadhafi...is still...a man of questionable vision..
but he isn't controlled by a theocracy..and that is something...an exception it seems in the new muslim nations that are emerging from this turmoil..
it would be interesting to see what happens to Saudi Arabia in the next 10 years...I forsee big changes..

Yeah and now the next step is that Israel will finally admitt that they have about 200 nuclear arms.

None of which any international organisation has any control whatsoever.

About time.

So what if Israel has Nukes? We all know that Israel is the 52nd or is it the 53rd state? We know who gave them to them and who taught them how to use them.

Btw how many states are there in US including Bahamas and Alaska?

There's 50 states. If by the bahamas you mean Puerto Rico it is not a state, it is a commonwealth.

Well in chronological order the 51st state is britain the 52nd is Israel and 53rd is Iraq.

I am not counting Afganistan as a state it is more like a desert with an oil pipe running through it.
Also Saudi Arabia is not a state since it is not ruled by the US directly but the Saudi royals in charge are ruled by the US.

I wouldn't bring up that pipe against Bush, Bush backed the Enron plan that would've put that pipe through the caspian sea.

Kadhafi know first hand what american planes can do. If the "terrorist purge" keeps going, it's likely that Libya will be a target. Anyway, Kadhafi has been quiet and silent since the bombardment.

Kadhafi is not daft he knows that he is not strong enough anymore to go against the US. He can see further down the road and probably he wants some of the economic packages "to fight terrorism" so we ll see General Mo becoming more soft in issues such as terrorism he wants his sins purged and he might even achieve it.
