That was depressing. Looking at only the abortion, free trade and drugs page, there wouldn't be a single candidate in the US who would support my views on those three issues.

Great site but ya I agree, way too much info there, you're bound to find something big to disagree on.

While I'm not too happy to see so many people would support Barack at least most of us don't want Hitlery either. I can't stand her or her husband. I dread when I'm 80 and their stinking daughter tries to run. She is not in for anything but herself & her own power. If she gets the presidency (and stranger things have certainly happened) then I'm seriously worried about America over the next 4 years. Government health care, open boarders, terribly weak foreign policy and taxes taxes and more taxes. I say a prayer regularly that she doesn't even with the primary.
I think the right woman could win the presidency. Hitlery ain't her. By about a light year.
Barack is just too young & inexperienced. No telling what sort of problems his foot in mouth disease might get us into. At best he would end up with the advisors running the show.
And I'm not too sure that a black man can win in the USA yet. Regardless of what he really is or isn't, for the voters that take this into consideration he's black.
I'm hoping for Fred Thompson. He's not waffled on his opinions. He's conservative enough, he pulls for small government and lower taxes, tight borders & less gun control, I think he'll get us out of Iraq but not until it's the right time to do so. And I believe/trust him as much as I do any politician (which admittedly isn't much....)
Sounds pretty much all good to me. He's got plenty of experience and comes off great on camera (which matters much more than it should).
Go FRED!

One thing I can't stand is the lower taxes debate. My wifes brother-in-law is a hardcore Republican who works in insurance and always throws out "Democrats will raise taxes!" Didn't Regan raise taxes? Didn't Bush Sr.? (Yes, he said, "No new taxes" but guess what? He raised 'em.) And with a war that's costing us hundreds of billions of dollars a year and an ever increasing deficit how do think the government will pay it off? Taxes. Any of the candidates that claim they won't raise taxes or will lower them is flat out lying.

Some things went up under Bush but he also enacted a huge tax cut agenda. That's why the US market (not to be confused with the dollar) is doing so well. Practice your Google-Fu on "Effects of the Bush Tax Cuts enacted through 2006". That will predominately take you to a cite called Citizens for Tax Justice. Do a bit of reading up on that & you'll see that Mr. Bush got that bit of things right. Mind you he's gotten plenty wrong, but all in all I think he's done an ok job.
But, back to topic, as soon as you stick a Dem in the office you can bet that overall you are going to have more of your money snatched by the government to fund the growth of government itself (what I believe is every democrats ultimate goal). No doubt, no questions asked. Hell, Hitlery has point blank stated that she is going to let the Bush tax cuts lapse AND increase taxes. They just don't understand that increasing taxes does nothing but hurt the economy. *blah*

Its not about what any one man will do as President, but the direction and empowerment of the people to have their govenment work for them, to take care of our own, and to commerce with all but ally with none.
