Just curious what country you guys think is the most anti-American.

France, of course. France has had books such as "Our American Enemy" and "The Obsession with Anti-Americanism" grace their best-seller lists. They are contrarian for the sake of being contrarian, instead of working towards resolution.

I don’t think it’s fair to call Canada an anti-American country, true there has been some anti-American sentiments expressed in the province of Quebec but please remember that they are French with a mentality that is much closer to the mentality of the people of France then it is to the mentality of the people of the rest of Canada, they don’t much care for the people in the rest of Canada either. As for Canada’s decision not to join the coalition in the war, we have a French Prime minister, need I say more? The latest polls show that 72% of Canadians outside of the province of Quebec support what the US is doing in Iraq and think our prime minister made a horrible mistake when he decided not to support the USA in the War in Iraq. The last few weeks there have been several rallies in support of the USA in Canada but I guess they don’t get as the same kind of press that the negative comments of a few individuals does.

I beg to differ.

1. First off, quebecers are pissed off (generaly) against both the french and the english thus breaking any "relation" with that country (and some part of the supposed "hill billy" Canada).
2. Your link might have somewhat actual "statistics", but the site itself is clearly biased to the war movement thus making it not that much of a reliable source. Give out some more stats and I might reconsider.
3. I was born in Toronto and move to Montreal. I am english first, quebecois second (my dads a scot and my mom is a quebecer). Your generalisation on behalf of the french speaking community of Canada is a disgrace. Sorry, but you offended me and your country.

Historically, Quebecers never wanted to be part of any war. They have had enough with both there ex-motherland (france) and there new motherland (england/english canada).

Exactly! As the richest country in the world, you have the freedom and power to commit attrocities in whatever country you want, usually the poor ones with something to exploit.
Don't get me wrong, all rich countries use their power this way, it's human nature! As the richest, you just have to accept being the most hated. What actually pisses me off is the propaganda bullshit that is painted over what really goes on, not to mention the idiots that actually buy it. Of course national pride makes people want to believe said bullshit, but the rest of the world doesn't have that problem.

Look I support the WAR in IRAQ but I do not like bashing Canada or the French they have their right not to agree with us. Let just leave it at that.

screw those jealous french... they are just jealous of us for what we can do. Any other country can become just as powerful as we are. And they can have the same economy. Hell they could be better than us! We are just the only country probably in history to really ALWAYS drive forward! If France would just have more small business owners and stop focusing on clothes then they could be like us. Instead of the wimps and winers they are!

Seems like this is not a poll of who is most anti-American, but rather who is America most "anti-" towards? Looks like anti-France.
Do you think Chirac hates America? Don't you think Hussein or maybe the Ayatollah Khamenei might hate America more?

I wonder if Al-Qaeda was included in the list (yes I know it's not a country ), would France still be winning?

America does not follow any countries order, America pioneers it's own way. France is not following Americas order, they've chose not to fight in this war. Since France is trying to make it's own way, just like America. Since they are acting like America in choosing to do what they want...people see this as being anti-American?

NO NO NO- All wrong, France is JEALOUS because they have almost no real power in the world compared to the US so they want to try to chop us down a few notches w/ their antics. They also want to try to *embarass us. So don't confuse what France is trying to do with what the US is trying to do- you cannot compare them.
France is purposefully trying to block any international leadership the US employs- that is nothing like what we are trying to do by taking a stand against terrorism. France is only out to protect it's bank account. Not the same as trying to protect the innocent lives of the entire world, let's not be ridiculous here.

They blocked the vote because they wanted to, just as the US would if there was a vote on something we didn't like. Don't try and act like America is innocent.

I used to think just like you, I used to defend the US's actions right and left no matter what they did. The truth is out there, not to be lame, but if you're too blind to see it then there is no reason to discuss this.
