Haha! Dems win the house!
Thank god. The best part is, not a single democrat incumbent up for re-election lost a seat. Not one. Only democratic gains. It's about time the irrational fear wore off and only proves that when people actually think, the democrats win.
Want to take bets on how long it takes them to lose it?

good one
Dem's have a great idea I think but everyone in charge is either a moron or completely corrupt. They try to helpp all the people who they think can't help themselves at the same time instead of focusing on one issue at a time and relieving it. That is why they alway complain and why our country goes further into debt after every recent democratic president.

The Democrats have no idea what their agenda is or how they will achieve it, and Nancy will no doubt piss off more of her colleagues than unite them as she hopes..
Most of the progress the Republicans have made in the past was certainly after the Democrats had taken power of the HOR, but the Senate...well.
The Republicans will just get stronger and the Democrats will eventually fail to achieve what they wish...
No greater lie to the American people could be realized than that the Democrats are here for the average American and the people of the U.S.
Do not think for a moment that the Democrats arent in it for their own agenda, and they accuse the Republicans as if the burden of failure in the past was their fault.
I can think of no easier way to accelerate the eventual destruction of the fabric of our own culture than the Democrats running amuck in Congress and the HOR.
We are at a turning point in our economy and I am sure the Democrats will ensure that we Americans will be taxed to death..
Standby America...
Your going to get it with no KY, sideways and with a wristwatch on!!

Yup- Bush proved that tax cuts help the economy grow (for all the morons that think otherwise)..
Through 9-11, Natural disasters, high cost of fuel, etc... our economy flourishes with the tax breaks across the board.
Now?
Bye bye booming economy.

Republicans pushed Clinton to sign on to welfare reform, capital gains tax cuts and spending curbs that produced a booming economy and balanced budget. They kept him from raising taxes, as he did in 1993, when his record tax hike nearly sank the economy. They also kept him from signing the Kyoto Global Warming Treaty.
Bush inherited Clintons second term, an economy in recession and terrible market as well.
Clinton took over his first term with a growing economy...all at the efforts of the Republican administration before him.
Clinton would have everyone believe alot of things...like whether he had sex with an intern....
Screw the Democrats..they have underestimated Bush that is for sure...

If the democrats do what they say they're going to do, Pelosi included, then I think the people will see exactly how much better they are for this country. Especially right now.
If they take the republican route and let the power go to their heads then run the country on fear out of fear of losing that power, then yeah, same shit - different people.
But to say the democrats have no idea what they're going to do is complete ignorance on your part. People like to use the word agenda as if it's a bad thing, nevermind everyone has one. You, me, everyone. To use it as a negative speaks volumes. If they follow the agenda that they've outlined maybe we'll have some sanity in this country again.
But either way, you can rail on and on about how the democrats are going to mess things up all you want, it doesn't change the fact that no democrat incumbent lost a single seat. The republicans have. Kind of makes you wonder who exactly made the mess.

The only thing the Republicans did wrong is when they acted and voted like Democrats.

Not gonna voice my full opinion (believe it or not, I lean more towards the right of center, usually), but I do hope we will at least see some movement toward breaking the religious influence so prominent in the last ten or so years. Stem cells, gay marriage, political influence in the FDA , these things should just be resolved. Lets move the country forward for a change. Hopefully we will see some decisions made based on science, fact, and renaissance thinking, and less based on what the bible reads. It will also be nice to see some checks and balances back in order and people working together towards whats better for the country/people instead of whats better for the party. We'll see, I have a feeling we're going to see more "getting even" than "getting back on track".

Well - I wouldnt kick up those feet just yet...
While clinton was 'enduring' impeachment trials - he also signed off on the FTA... so - he was still getting busy screwing americans even after gettin busy with monica.
Keeping ANY incumbant house/senate (read: people with established relationships with the likes of lobbiests) - were just asking for more of the same.

Im not going to get into the whole rep vs dem thing but I think "split government" (as the US seems to cals it) is a good thing.
When one party has control in any country they are bound to pull a lot of crap because at the end of the day it’s difficult to hold them to account, especially when bodies designed to watch over things like corruption are appointed by the same people they are suppose to be monitoring.
Our labour lead government does not command a majority in parliament and hasn’t for a long time (they are in their third term) and parliament works perfectly well...as well as democratic decision making bodies works anyway. It just means there is a lot of compromise. Although our PM doesn’t have a veto, which complicates things in the states.

we need tear down the entire movement and restructure it. To end the corruption that rules this country.
To make a government of the people for the people again... from the house of reps, senate white house
and laws. But it'll never happen though our for furthers put such words in the Constitution as to allow
the goverment would never allow this. poilice & army would be used to restore "order" or control. A
goverment should fear its people not the other way around.

Yep it's like they ressuffle the debt, to make it look like all is booming and well
much like these companies, like enron who "cook the books". Then next round
when a repeblican takes office as they useally do... then papers get sorted and
suprize here that minng black hole of debt
When clintion left and bush came in we where all ready slumping into a ressesion
then 9/11 drove the nail home makeing thing progress faster...
