Welcome,
Had to move your post to the proper area though (Political and Religious forum) - your comments and points of view have a welcome place in this particular forum...

Everyone has their opinion, and is entitled to post it here.
For myself, we worship the same almighty God, and the principles He teaches (regardless of the prophets, saints, followers, or otherwise) are the same - we all just need to hear his unifying voice.......somehow.....

Well as the product of a christian home, my parents attempted to educate me on the Prophet Muhammed and I served with some Muslims onboard my own ship during the gulf war as visiting a Muslim country, to be fair, I developed a completely different perspective when I was the infidel christian in Bahrain, Saudia Arabia and Kuwait. You all have to just see it to believe it, when you in the minority it quickens the pulse for the first couple of days until you see that even though they hate things about America they generally tolerate you if your not bombing their homes or shooting their children, and I am not being funny either. Overseas we Americans enjoy a dubious reputation among the common people and we have to be ambassadors of good will if we can, and on that level we find common ground. Many Muslims that came to us from Turkey and Afghanistan only knew the American military and not just ordinary citizens.

I still don't care I find the muslims are acting very very very wrong in the world at the moment. Perfect example, India. GWBush just came and everyone was peaceful and all (hindus love bushy) and we support it and all but guess who made a rally saying bush is the worst terrorist...
The muslims. They live in a seperate culture from the rest of india and that's why there is such a rough tension there in between hindus, sheeks, christians and muslims. I have nothign against muslims and know many who are cool but sometimes..............

I think Jesus and Mohammed were both preaching a similar message (and for the most part a good one). Their messages have been distorted by those who claim a greater moral authority or people who claim to communicate with Jesus/god.
The danger comes not from those who have faith in a greater being, but from those who seek to impose (violently or otherwise) their version of gods word/ will on others.

You have to see Jewish and Christian extremists to really guage the kind of hostility we see in muslims all over.
There are hostile entities in all three religions and we class idealistically all the time, it is just hard to develope any perspective when agitators from other countries are on the streets stirring up hate and discontent towards the free world by telling lies and spreading hate messages, it is bad enough when you just examine the facts as well.
Shameful and unforgivable acts of violence towards innocents crosses those secular boundries all the time.
All I am saying is give peace a chance, all you have to see is dead children to fully appreciate what hatred can do.
Reminds me of a Rodger Waters song actually..something about a postwar dream...
Oh Maggie what have done...

Back in the day when I used game alot at LANs and on the internet, I used to handle myself Muhammed Jablah. Got it from the then crazy electronic editor of PC Format SA Cameron Losco, used to call himself the "Imperial Commisioner and Royal Ambassador of all projects, issues and things electrical and electronic" or something and said he hailed from the land of Loscovia, even had jail photos of himself from the side and the front in the mag complete with jail no.s and everything. Mad man he was. And still is probably. Though I think the new orange look of the magazine since the editor turned into a woman and I stopped reading it made him more a little more sane.

I did not deny him his opinion.

Heh, just now opened this text he's pushing. First line:

Muhammad, the Prophet of Islam, to his admirers and foes alike, is incontestably the greatest and the most influential personality in the history of humankind.

That clearly illustrates my point about tolerance and understanding, I know that for many people religion is a strange concept or rather, more like a lift in the shoe, faith and hope are alien concepts born more of fear and self resolve than a real beilef in ahigher power.
Try to question any devout follower of God, whether his prophets are Jesus or Muhammed or perhaps teachings of Hebrew texts and scripture, they all claim divine understanding of the central message of faith, belief in an afterlife.
I submit that the radical muslims we see clashing with police are no different than anyone else in the world, except their tempers are fanned by those who do not embrace the teachings of any prophet or any faith and create discord to support their own interests and those are not spritual in nature nor are they really about faith.
It is all about power, and however any one dominent religion, country or entity arrives at that is just an aspect of human nature rather than an indictment of faith or lack there of.

I can understand that the point (Muhammad: Who is He...) the member is attempting to relate to us by posting the link here might not be anyone's particular "cup of tea" - it is not mine - but his post, in and of itself, did not appear to trash anyone else's beliefs nor did it trash any individual here at DH. I therefore don't see his post as disrepectful to DriverHeaven or to any particular member.
I would submit that it is best and most fair to debate the points that members wish to put forth, rather than attack the member.
