Worth overclocking?

Is my pc (signature) worth overclocking? Or should i just get like a new pc?

well, the vid card and such are just fine, the pent is pretty slow, but depending on the make of it you could prolly oc the heck out of it.

i'd say that if you were to build a new pc it'd be best to keep as much as you could and just replace the mobo/proc

If you want it to last a little more, I wouldn't overclock, you could try a small overclock but you wouldn't be able to see the performance difference. If your getting a new P4 soon, BURN IT BURN IT.

Your info is minimal. You'll need to show us some in depth specs to see if your processor, motherboard, and memory can handle a decent overclock. You can find out more info using everest.

If your CPU belongs to the Northwood series, then it's probably highly overclockable. The main question is whether your motherboard and PSU will allow you that. As far as cooling is concerned, you shouldn't need anything exotic, a good cooler should be enough for about 3GHz.
If the CPU is a Willamette, then you probably won't get much out of overclocking it.

If you're short on cash, OVERCLOCK for sure.

If you need advice, don't hesitate.

Good Luck.
