Deeper into the rabbit hole.

As some of you might know I wondered whether my laptop had upgradable GFX or not. So I spent the last few hours dismantling and rebuilding my laptop it does not however

This pic shows why:

Discovered I have hynix memory though which all the ATI cards I have had, used.

Alienware makes 1 too.Or at least they used too.Pop the old GFX card out and pop the new one in.10 minutes tops.I think the new cards run around $300.00 or so.They claim they are the only 1 on the market with this feature.

some of the new laptop designs can take new graphics cards and are easy to get at, via a rear slot.

like the alienware I reviewed a while ago http://www.driverheaven.net/reviews/alienware7700/

You can remove the 6800 go and put in a X800 module.

Here is a X800 module I have actually for the alienware, very easy to swap in and out.

No this isnt the alienware laptop, its a voodoo laptop
