Good Idea? Worth it?
Okay, I have an idea to cool my temps which might look okay. This is my PC for the moment:
Now since summer is coming I'd like a cooler PC and for that, I thought of doing this, adding 2 80mm fan on intake. Or would extract be better?
Or would this be better? Having a 120mm fan on intake? Or again, would extract be better?
And if ever, all the other fans in my pic are 120mm except the CPU fan which is smaller (80ish) and the PSU fans (92mm to extract from CPU and 80mm to exhaust from PSU.)
So what ya'all think?

I'd go with the single 120mm fan as intake, and put a slowly rotating fan or regulated fan there. And bodge on some kind of simple dust filter. The blowouts are already well set up.

This little idea might be worth a look if it would be easy to fit something like it inside the case. In mine I took two pieces of thin cardboard (sandwiched together and covered with duct tape makes for quite good insulation) and made an insulating roof over part of the rearward interials, to help guide warm air towards the rear exhausts and lower the thermal load on the power supply. At least in my case where there is no top exhaust it does a good job. I wish I had a Dremel, or maybe not because I'm kinda lazy anyway.

I had tried something like that once but it didn't really help my temps Cuz my fans are such low CFM fans, they don't change much so no go It's soooo anooying choosing in between loud but cold or silent but hot!

Lets see your case!!!! what it looks like inside and out as it stands
BTW: this is how mines set up....
Thier all 80mm and i've got them all running on just 5V thats 20DB!! Wisper quiet! creates a lot of turbulace inside the PC. A slight positive pressure again wich is good..If it wasn't for the cold cathodes you can't tell my pc is on unless your in a completley silent room... temps are the same with the case sides off (no fans) / Case sides on (fans)

Well if ever I already have the 80mm fans and they are silent. So is the 120mm fan so noise in my case ain't that important. I'm at about 25db which is great but I do get temp differences in between door off or on.

So well I took a few pics that way you guys could understand the PC
Here it is from the outside...
For a better pic so you can see without blur, here ya go...
And now for the inside...
And if ever you need to see without the blur...
Not great I know but hell, I don't got the money for better PC quality

i would say go with the 120mm fan. but instead of placing it over in towards the center, place it as close as possible over the CPU.

I will vote for placing a 120mm fan at 5V and over the CPU, so it help the CPU temps more. The graphic card should get VGA Silenver v5 so it will help exhust the hot air and cool better and more silent as well...

Look at the pics again mate, I already got a VGA silencer rev.3 on the 9800 pro And well the fan I have in stock is a 56cfm at 22dba 12v so putting it on a lower voltage won't really help...

Ah, sorry, I missed it
I tought that these ones are bigger and actually overlaping the card from bottom, anyway...
56cfm for 120mm fan at 12V? This must be either already quite silent one - or it is useless one

It's a quite fan mate... I have temp probs cuz my PC is silent!!! If I turn up my CPU fan cooler to max, it's DAMN loud (55db+) but it cools great (32-39) so there, I wouldn't need this. But since I want a silent computer, I need to find other ways of making my PC cool without water cooling that'd cost too much!!!

i put the 120mm fan over my gfx card, so half of the fan is on the top part and the other half over the bottom part. it will cool the NB and the gfx card. it might even get some air to the cpu heatsink. depends on the fan.

I bet it is the diagnostic leds I have same problem with my DFI LP B mobo. It simply glows a lot, so, either one get used to it, or one shoul do NOT have holes in the bottom of the case (in my case) and /or transparent parts of the mobo

The red glow is 3 sets of lazer LEDs It's one of the few things I like about my case! But the camera sorta makes it cool weird, I should get a pic in the dark actually...
