newbie oc questions!

Hi. Got a a8n mobo that I dont realy understand. Well thers a lot I dont understand about computers not only this one .

I run all the settings on this mobo in auto, cuz I dont have a clue. Exept from the ram. That was easy, setting rite ram, cas latency and volt. But donu about T1 and T2 timing. What does that mean realy? As I understamd memory settings are very important for oc. Could someone give a tip about what I should experiment with?

Also wondering about cpu volt. Curently running my cpu (amd64 3500) at 2.4 with 1.625V. Would like later to try hit 2.6, and wondering if volt closer to 1.65 or more is gonna hurt my cpu?

And one more thing. Got this strange bug on this machine. Every time I instal new software, or do something like changing my wallpaper, I get this error message saying ocl.dl is "not a valid integer value" This has to do with the oc software that comes with this mobo, AI boost. This message repeats itself untill the whole system is jammed. If I dont rebot when this is starting, then it will not boot when i finaly has to restart. I actually has to clear the cmos.

Tried reinstaling windows, but dosnt help. I realy like this oc software so I hope someone knows a fix for it. Or better, understand what is wrong with my system.

thx for any enlighment

There's a lot of crap to do with settings. I'd read through some guides before you do anything since it's better to know what you're doing than winging it.

As for your questions, you'll want to have the ram on 1T (1 cycle). Don't increase your voltage unless you have instability in higher clocks while testing. Don't know about that bug you got, but it's better to oc in bios so try reinstalling that or get rid of it. Since you like it, I'd try the forums for your motherboard company. You may see a fix there.

This first post has a lot of stuff and links to guides and other crap that will be helpfull in ocing: http://forum.msi.com.tw/index.php?topic=40413.0
