I have a question about the oil cooled computer, you said the pelt is cooling the oil, how so?
If the peltier is fully submerged in the oil, its not going to work. the heat it extracts will be just collected by the oil.
I'd like to know the temps of the oil, im sure it would be hot as hell, if the peltier is fully submerged. Oil is a great conductor of heat, once hot, it won't cool down. Take this from someone how has submerged a computer in oil before. I did it a few years ago with a P166, and 2 vooodoo 2's. And after running for 2 hrs the water was a good 35°C, and Pentiums put out nothing for heat. I'd hate to see what a a64 would do with a powerful videocard.
however the lapping job looks kick ass.

Let me guess, someone used power tools!
When you lap by hand you end up with a much sharper edge as if there was a 90 corner there ... I can tell becouse your edges are still rounded someone likely used a "buffer" to get that shine .... only makes it shiny negates the whole purpose of doing it in the 1st place wich is to make it 100% flat and smooth above all... So flat no light excapes thew a sharp razors edge against it.. shiny is something you do after and by hand... ( A machine adds back part what you took out in the 1st place )
then you use a fine paper thin perfictly even appl;ication airless layer of TMI and get your best thermal transfer...

the edges dont make contact with the cpu so the edges dont matter and that was 1 and a half hours of hand lapping for each block thank you very much the edges are kind of neglected but its 100% 2000 grit finish no polish yes polish is pointless.

actually the edges would matter, it doesn't matter how shiny the surface is, it matters how flat it is. if the edges of the block are reglected the block isn't actually flat, and may not sit perfectly on the cpu.
