Ok well I have a question, I have the Platinum series mem for my comp that are DDR 400. They used to not be able to overclock well but I switched em around and now they go up to ddr 490 at 2.5-3-3-5 (I dunno why they work now since I moved em around). But I can't go up to DDR 500 even at 3-4-4-8. I have read around and I think its because my PSU is kinda crappy.
So I would like to know if I would have a better chance OCin these sticks by getting the powerstream OCZ SLI PSU. Also since these have a lifetime guarantee I have RMAed them like 3 times with Newegg and gotten almost progressively worse pairs from them. So is there anyway I can send these in for like a trade up? Or send them in directly to you guys to get them RMAed (I don't trust newegg anymore).
What would be ur advice on the matter?
Edit: I'm looking for like a newer edition or DDR 500 edition of these memory.

Also is it bad to be an OCZaolic? I'm putting these nice ramsyncs on my 7800 mem (really beautiful btw) and I will be getting a powerstream SLI PSU. Add that to my two 1gb sticks of plat and about 25% of my system is OCZ brand (which is a good thing right?)

Hello,
Does the ram work properly? I can't offer an RMA for properly working ram, especially if DDR400 rated sticks, run close to DDR500. We do not RMA non faulty products.
There is no "trade up" program either. You would have to sell your sticks and purchase something else.

OK then well I'm happy with the sticks and the timings. What about the PSU? Could that dramatically affect my stability when overclocking?

Ryder. This isn't of major importance atm... but:
Recently purchased 2x of the following 2gb kits ( http://www.ocztechnology.com/product...b_dual_channel)
Now here's what i've go set in the bios atm:
CAS ~ 2
TRAS ~ 8T
TRCD ~ 3T
TRP ~ 3T
TRC ~ 11T
TRFC ~ 14T
TRWT ~ 4T
TWR ~ 3T
1T/2T ~ 2T
Voltage is set to 2.8V for the DDR only... everything else is stock..
All look fine and dandy or would you recommend me any changes?

lol....mine doesn't work either. i crank up the voltage, but nothing happens. the screen stays at whatever i have the voltage in BIOS set at. Now, my RAM booster is sitting in the back seat of my car . At one point i had put on some duct (sp?) tape and a small northbridge fan to help cool the heatsink down a little bit. it worked, that is until the duct tape melted off enough for the fan to just fall off.
don't think i should have said that last part though

@ Lowfat,
The display was working before and suddenly quit? Send me an email so we can get it replaced, this is already an RMA unit? Email is in my Sig.
Thanks

@ Judas,
That looks perfect to me, 2.8V shouldn't be necessary....try 2.5 or 2.6....although with 4 sticks you might need the bump.

thanks..
you sure i should just leave it @ 2.8V just to be on the super stable side? or is utterly totally unnessary? (am i hurting anything?)
Should i just set it to auto?

I have not found these IC's to peform better or more stable with more juice....mine run the same with lower voltatge.....just play with it....there are differences in boards and regulators.....2.6 on my DFI board is like 2.67 so it overvolts a bit, yours might under-volt. I would try 2.6 and if its still nice and stable...just leave it there, lower is always better IMO

A8R32-MVP Deluxe and DDR Booster
I wanted to buy this motherboard but the only problem (apart the really bad bios problems ofcourse) i see is the 3.2v memory voltage, i've got BH-5 memory so anything lower than 3.4 isn't going to get me very far, so here's the question: does the DDR Booster work with the A8R32-MVP Deluxe?

Ryder,
I'm running into alot of issues just recently
This hasn't anything to do with the 2gb kits.. they works flawlessly..
It's the gold 1gb kit i've got and every single 512mb OCZ Value ram i've got (several of them)
I'm building a bunch of machines using OCZ ram (and PSU's)
Every Asus A8N-E has an issue. If i attempt to run OCZ Value 512mb sticks (2x) in dual channel mode or just more then one, the system constantly freezes up before loading windows... if i turn the power off complete, (flip the switch at the back) and then turn it back on and power up... it'll work (quite often if i just push and hold the power button itself wait for the machine to shutdown and then fire it up again after 30 seconds)
While the other Asus A8N-E i've got with the gold 1gb kit, refuses to fully boot 90% of the time.
If i let the machine sit for several minutes, then boot, it'll boot up normally, if i've got it running for any length of time after that first boot, and attempt to reboot, nearly every time, it doesn't get anywhere, just doesn't post or anything. This is with the ram settings set as loose as possible and 2.8v (or 2.9) right down to having the tightest timings you had suggested.
This happens in 6 out of 6 of the Asus A8N-E Rev 2.0 boards i've got... .every single one of them.
However, the 2Gb Gold kit works completely flawless in all these boards, along with a few other really really cheap generic ram i've laying around yet....

What gold kit are you running? OCZ4001024ELDCGE-K, The UTT-BH stuff? They are going to want 2.8V. Try CAS = 2.5, we have seen a lot of Asus boards with CAS 2 issues lately.
What bios are you running on the boards? try 1 rev older if you are on the newest.
Do you only have trouble in Dual Channel? This sounds more like a board issue than ram, if every stick works by itself.
