The 4850 is awesome. I had a 2900XT and 3870 in quick succession before it, and its a definite improvement, especially when you crank the AA/AF. I run everything with 4xAA/16xAF, looks and plays beautifully. There's a lot been written about GPU temps for the 4000 series, but with the fan control in the CCC now its very easy to keep them wherever you want them. For the money, its a superbly capable card.

Sounds good to me

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
I will probably sleeve those ugly fan wires, so for now, big cable mess.
Also i don't like the front panel setup, will probably swap some things around.

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
The size of that keyboard compared to everything else is just ridiculous.

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
LOL
I like my Gyration "mini" keyboard. I've had it now for over 4 years and it's still going strong. It has survived many gaming sessions and a few slams of my fist when the batteries die in the middle of a firefight.
When i sit in my chair, it feels like i'm at the bottom of the grand canyon

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
I like your arrangement of "workspaces" on those monitors.
Calibration takes a little getting used to - there's a learning curve - but the process is very interesting.
If you can, get a gander at the patterns and the explanations at the Lagom site. For LCDs, I like the stuff there better than DisplayMate software.

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
I have to agree with IEMC that keyboard cracks me up! its like there's a massive area where a keyboard should be and then the tiny keyboard in the middle of the space. But I don't blame you those little keyboards are fun
Also, picks of the media PC coming soon and also some pics of the main rig once UPS delivers my new Phenom stuff

Quite a nice case? Which one is it?
But I have a question: Why does your monitor sits on a book (?)?

hahaha mine sits on the box that my PSU came in when I game for a long time. I believe the answer to your question is most likely this......when you are tall and there is no height adjustment the viewing angle and height of your monitor has to go up higher some how

Re: Offical Show Your Rig Off
WOW some really cool stuff there guys especially on the water cooling setups
I did manage to finally clean some cabling up in my main rig and on my new toy lots of room for another one
(Oddly enough I had my modded 9600gt in there and it is much larger than the HD4870 lol)
