Get some better looking PSU, Mousey. It doesn't go well with the rest of the components
And it's not clearly visible, but do you have just one memory module in there?

I am planning on getting a new PSU but since this one hasn't died yet there isn't really much point if it's just for asthetics, and no i'm running 3 sticks
2x 512mb
1x 1gb
not a very good dual channel setup i know

That is my 830. Ya the powder coating doesn't really show up on camera since it almost looks black.
I took it apart so once my 832 arrives I can start the project over again.

It is a work in progress MIG, I have forever to play with it and change things. I only put the drives in to fit the cage I made for them to the front panel when I mounted it. They are old dead ones which I am glad I hung onto as they were exposed to some uncaring treatment during the fitting process.
Thanks MIG!
As for the armor plating everything including the frame, which I will polish the paint off is made out of aluminum so it may actually act as a heatsink, or at least I hope so! I will have five 120mm and two 90mm fans at least when I am ready to start using it, maybe more or water cooling down the road. Plenty of room foor a rad or even phase change inside the case itself. With the 1/4 inch thick panels on it measures 26 1/2" high x 11 3/8" wide x 25 1/4" deep, (H)673.1 mm x (W)288.925mm x (D)641.35mm
Don't ask me what possessed me to try this, I've never done anything like it before and my scrap/mistake pile is growing!
I have finished the cage for the 3 1/2" media drives and am working on the 7 drive HD cage now. I am trying to think of or get some ideas as to what may look appropriate for a pattern for the front of the case and left side panel for fan intakes. The one I have already made for the right side panel was fashioned after the looks of an old fashioned microphone.

You have access to water jet cutting machine? I've seen some nice works done with it. you can cut out various 2d patterns with it and the result is way better than normal drilling or plasma cutting. But I'll let you to figure out the pattern you like.

I have done all this by scribing, drilling, jig sawing and extreme amounts of filing, sanding and polishing.

Much appreciated and thanks Mousey! I am certain it will work out as I have too much time invested to let it fail.
finished the 3 1/2" floppy bays and have the 7 drive HD cage sitting loosely. I am trying to find the best location from side to side for it. I am leaving about 2" from the inside front panel for lots of fan space and it should give me enough room for a 360mm rad from the other end of the drives to the back of the case for a 360mm rad if I ever go with liquid cooling. I will be using rubber grommets for the mount screws when I can make up my mind where to place the HD cage.

I reckon there's too much space there not to go liquid cooling o.0

It is, but still enjoyable as long as I take my time.

I agree, I am going to line it up with the 3 1/2" bay above it. However I am considering doing away with one of the "bridges" as I feel it is overkill. Looking at lining one of them up with the center of the HD cage and securing a plate there equal in size to the HD cage base, then attaching the cage to the plate.

Just a suggestion but why don't you put a drive bay or 2 up at the top by the PSU?

i'm perfectly happy with my current build atm.. nice and neat and tidy even if there is 6 SATA hardrives + 1 SATA optical drive +1 e-sata and severeal usb ports/front audio/etc... all hooked up and working dandy...
this cosmo 1000 is so WAY loaded.. it feels like trying to live a 1/2 ton truck up from the back and then wondering why you can't move it....
if i had a moduler PSU..... it would be so damn neat and tidy.....

Yeah and then cover the raisers and the bars so that would hide the support structure.
