Default Post ABIT GF4 TI4200 OTES Overclocking

Well I didn't believe it when I read it till I experienced it myself. I overclocked this card and anything over 288Mhz core will give me problems in games. It'll run really fast then suddenly hit a speed bump so to say and come to a crawling stop for a sec or two then speed back up. When I lower the core to 288 suddenly the problem is gone. I don't get articles though till 315Mhz core so I find this weird and it kinda sucks cause the default speed is 275Mhz core and 550Mhz mem, I can get my mem up to 600Mhz but anything over that gives me occasional articles in benchmarks.....I'm thinking about trying out adding ramsinks to the card and figure that might help. It is only Hynix 3.6ns ram so I got 50Mhz out of it which isn't bad but I'd love to get more. Anyone else have any experience with this?

hey yeah.. first of... every core is different.. i tested 3 OTES systems.. and a Ti4200 one (hint hint guys more to come)... anyways each got different clocks... the two 4200 where 300/ 313 so theres a difference..

but if you see no artifacts when playing games at that speed..then it must be something else, what drivers are you using?

using 40.72 and the games run fine at higher core speeds....they just get jumpy every so often but some reviews I read also reported the same issue. Also I have been thinking about moding my card and adding ram sinks to it but I notice that the cooler for the GPU covers up 2 of the chips.... you think I can still rig something up to make it work?
