I have about 300 bucks canadian to spend on improving cooling for my system, and was wondering what i should buy. i curently have a real shitty case with 2 fans, when i installed my 6800 gt it brought the temps to a alarm lvl.
I was thinking of buy this http://www.bigfootcomputers.com/Mer...tegory_Code=360
i would also get the artic cooling VGA silencer. its a nice addition to those other 2. i would also get a few good silent fans and a good 120mm fan for that XP-120. those heatsinks are great i got one in my comp. right now.
the case comes with 7 fans is that enough?
also the 6800 gt set me back a lot (me poor) so im not messing with it
and im not into overclocking, just like the idea that i can. (getting a water cooling system in a couple of months)
the artic colling vga silencer blows the hot air out of ur case, not towards the hard drives. thats why its nice. if the case comes with the fans then no need to get more.
I think what you want is the NV silencer, not the VGA silencer. AFAIK the VGA silencer won't fit.
Changing the cooler won't void your warrenty as long as you keep the stock cooler around so you can swap them if need be .
