I Read this about Unlocking a Sony Bios

"I got the remedy..found sony's little secret....you have to unlock the bios first by simply turning the pc on and off simutainsly 3 times in a row...the bios unlocks then...handy information for sony users"

This was a guy w/ a PCV-RX302

The information is very vague, and i cant find it anywhere else so i dont even know if its true or not. I could not get it to work, but maybe someone will have better luck w/ it. If anyone gets it to work, let me know what you did.

thanks

Kevin

what does he mean by "unlock"?

i was always able to get into my old vaio's bios, i just had to look up which key to press at startup (it wasnt the default 'del')

I did discover that I can change my FSB w/ cpucool or cpufsb. I found my PLL number on my MB and it is supported, but i havent messed w/ it yet except to see that it works. Im going to hook up my extra HD and mess w/ it later to see if i can get around 2.0.
