Voltage on a 2400xp AMD
I was wondering if going to 1.95 would be safe to raise the voltage on this processor right now its at 1.87 running at 2285 with temps at 34c idle and 42 load. Could any body give me some ideas on if its ok to raise the voltage up more. It's stable right now i would like to hit 2.3 but it wont stay stable thou need help. Thanks all for reading this if you can help thats cool......

Nope, running at 1.95 is above the listed values from AMD, so it isn't safe.
Offcourse you can try but it's a risk and you need to cool it really good. also how do you plan on reaching that speed? with a higher clockspeed (by muliplier) you probably won't need the extra voltage, only when raising the fsb. My 2400 ran 2368 on only 1.7 vcore, it's always a mix between either a higher fsb or higher muliplier..  |
