OCZ 520 or X-Connect
Which of these would be best for a high-powered system running a 12v water pump? And would the adjustable rails be an advantage? Thanks.

My vote goes to the OCZ but check this thread out to see what others think.

I love my X-Connect PSU; but then again you might need the better voltage if you're going to be running a pump (depending on what over components you have).

Are you planning to use those same components you have now? If so you might want to go for the OCZ. I'm sure the 500W X-Connect will be able to handle that load but with a cooling system you might want to go for the OCZ instead due to the voltage and the rails. I hate to recommend something other than the X-Connect but in this case the OCZ might suite you better.

Yes... yes we do. But beyond that I try to stay away from fanboy-ism when recommending a component. In this case I'll go for OCZ.
All though Ultra; I'm a proud owner of YOUR product.

Ha! Good stuff. I always feel a little guilty spending a ton of money on the computer; just take her out to a nice dinner and get her some flowers. After a 'good' night together everything should be a-ok. Let us know how that machine works out for you after the new compoents.

you'll be happy with either of those PSUs, I run my complete external water cooling system off my Antec 480 and it's old, so the newer ones should be just fine.
