Default Post Reno's "Computah"

Okay guys, please go to this website and check out my rig...

Computah!

Then please help me answer this question...

Should I consider dropping money into this RIGHT NOW, or should I wait for hyper-threading P4s and Nv30 chips?

Some benchmark scores from UT2003:

Should I worry about wether my computer can keep me fluid for a few more months, or should I buy that 2.4B P4/ Abit BG7 combo for 300 bucks? Or an ATI 9700

Many people are having problems with the R9.7K, and it looks to me like your CPU is holding you back more than anything else. I'd buy a new CPU

To answer some posts...

JavaFox: I'm probably going to go the googlegear route, IE. a 2.4B Northwood with an Abit BG7...although, people around the net have shown the BG7 hitting FSBs of 147...and if I had a 2.4A...hoo...that would probably explode though. A move from 1.7 to 2.4Ghz on a MUCH better motherboard isn't too bad for $300...

Greekrage: It's called my blazer, that things got a queen sized matress worth of room when the back seat is pulled down....

Dom: Tried the rounded cables (spent 13 bucks on some of those copper-wrapped ones) and I just thought my PC looked better (and DEFINITELY know it gets better airflow) with the flat cables that I can bend neatly. I've converted from "Whirlwind PC" mode with 7x8cm fans, 1x9cm fan, and rounded cables to "Stealth PC" mode with only 4x8cm fans, 1x9cm fan and neatly folded cables (plus lots of pax mate) while still maintaining the temps I got with my leaf-blower of a PC. Although...I might use that rounded cable for my cd and dvd drives...good idea Dom!

I personally would wait for a couple more months, the rig you've got right now is pretty sweet and there is supposed to be an assload of new tech out for the christmas season upgrade after the new year is my opinion...

I say get the 2.53 instead of the 2.4 since it's only a few bucks more.
