ATI Radeon 9700 Pro Overclocked

Well guys, I figured since I got a good computer, and a VGA Silencer on my 9700 Pro. I would overclock it good.

Default clock rates:
Core - 324
Memory - 311

Overclocked clock rates:
Core - 380 (techinally 380.08)
Memory - 341 (techinally 340.62)

I think that is a very reasonable overclock, it's overclocked to 9800 Pro speeds. I might be able to push the core more, but I don't want to go to the extreme, and the memory has no heatsinks on it, so I won't be upping it anymore. Here is the results of my overclock.

System Specs:
PC Chips 811LU KT266A
AMD Athlon XP 2400+
512MB PC2100
Western Digital 60GB
ATI Radeon 9700 Pro w/VGA Silencer
Sound Blaster Audigy Gamer
Windows XP Professional SP2
DirectX 9.0c
VIA Hyperion 4in1 v4.53
Omega 2.5.67 (Based on Catalyst 4.8)

Games/Benchmark Programs Tested:
(Mostly used with BenchemAll)
Far Cry
Halo: Combat Evolved
3DMark03
3DMark2001 SE
AquaMark3
Counter-Strike: Source

Results
-----------------------------------------------------------
Far Cry

Normal - 26.18
Overclocked - 26.42
-----------------------------------------------------------
Halo: Combat Evolved

Normal - 39.20
Overclocked - 41.87
-----------------------------------------------------------
3DMark03

Normal - 4772 3DMarks
Overclocked - 5354 3DMarks
-----------------------------------------------------------
3DMark2001 SE

Normal - 11604
Overclocked - 11887
-----------------------------------------------------------
AquaMark3

Normal - 30603 (Link)
Overclocked - 32034 (Link)
-----------------------------------------------------------
Counter-Strike: Source

Normal - 63
Overclocked - 60
-----------------------------------------------------------

CS:Source had a drop, but I think it's due to updates. If anything, it's an improvement I guess.

definitely a reasonable overclock

hmmm, the 3dmark2001 seems a little low, I think. I was getting 10,800 with an xp1800 and my AIW9700Pro, both at stock speeds (and with the Cat 4.2 driver . . . link). shouldn't the xp2400 be a bit more of an increase?

what res was the Halo at btw?

mmm 3Dmark2001 is idd very low..

i have the same card as you only it;s the Hercules 9700Pro and default it scores above 12.000, when overclocked practicly the same as you : 380/349 it gives me a score of 20564, granted this is with my new amd64 but i had a XP2400+ and with that it scores in the 16.000's .

check my 3Dmark page to get a comparison, maybe you'll find where the difference lies:
amd64: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=8065494
XP2400: http://service.futuremark.com/compare?2k1=7981288

the aquamark is a nice improvement tho.
